Sisters, Besties For Life | Meggy Blethen

Hello scrapbookers!! I am back today with a fun layout where I used 2 cut files in 2 different ways. I had so much fun making this layout to share with you!! I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

I knew when I saw the Quilt Grid cut file that it needed to be made into a stencil. I LOVE triangles!! I also love stencils, so it worked out perfect! 🙂

Totally looks like the perfect stencil, right?!!

Voila! I made it into a stencil using some plastic stencil material I bought off of amazon. I LOVE this stuff!!

The other cut file I used was Besties for Life. This one was perfect because I just went on vacation to visit 2 of my sisters this past week.

I was so excited to use this one and had the perfect photo my mom took of my sisters and I.

To make the cut file pattern stand out, I used some Molding Paste by Golden. I then used my favorite Amy Tangerine water colors released earlier this year and created a few differe pink, purple and blue hues.

I backed the Title cut file in a pretty water color paper so it would stand out against the background and all the layers.

I decided to cut apart the cut file so that it would connect the whole layout. I felt that looked best.

Since there were so many pretty colors on the layout I decided to use a black and white photo I added a few layers behind the photo and added some banners to give it more texture around the bottom of the photo.

I added some extra hearts and some sequins as my embellishments. I wanted the cut files to shine on the layout, along with the photo, so I didn’t want to use any embellishments to take away from that.

I just absolutely LOVE how this layout turned out I want to encourage you to try using 2 cut files on a layout this month! It was so fun to challenge myself in that way and go outside the box. I hope you will check out my process video below.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to visit the shop to pick up some amazing cut files.
