Hello scrappy friends Rachel here! Today I have a layout using two cut files, the beautiful Butterfly Garden Background cut file and the title from the Candles Page Builder cut file.
I often mix and match cut files, here I took the title to use on my layout!
And here is my layout, created using Pinkfresh Studio Just A Little Lovely collection. I cut two of this cut file, exactly the same in sizing knowing I wanted some of the butterflies and flowers to bend up naturally.
I used a mixed media background paper with a floral theme so my Butterfly Garden cut file would work especially since I decided to cut it in white. I paper backed the flowers and butterflies using an ombre paper from the collection, so different colours would be peeking through but not be overwhelming.
I added brads to some of the flower centres and tiny die cut flowers to the others. I added a woodie to the large butterfly. Once I had placed my photo which I added with foam tape I set about creating my title. I sized the words to fit around my photo. I cut in white and then used the release compound function and pulled out the individual letters and cut from a water colour effect paper from the collection. I added some of the letters with foam tape to add height and variation.
The two larger butterflies I focused on, adding a puffy sticker under one of the wings, a floral die cut and adding the woodie feature to the other butterfly.
To finish off I added a tab under the top of my photo, some sentiment stickers and puffy heart sticker.
