Happy Thursday Creatives! Gwen back on the blog today to introduce our next Guest Designer, Kirei Baldwin. I have admired Kirei’s work for some time now, I just love her use of colour and the wide variety of pages she creates and I know you will love her too. We are super spoilt this month with her creating 4 projects for us, with this being the first one.
I loved the combination of the title and flowers in the ‘Spring Garden‘ cut file and decided I wanted to back it in some lovely bright colours to go with the Spring theme so chose the fab ‘Horizon’ collection from Pink Paislee. I raised the backing for the flowers and title on foam pads but attached the backings for the leaves directly to the cut file. I wanted to add a little more texture behind the cut file so used a butterfly stencil and some white texture paste which gives just a subtle amount of detail. I used two small photos backed with more papers from the Horizon collection that I tucked into the right of the cut file as didn’t want to cover too much of it up! To finish I then added some of the lovely floral matching embellishments and a strip of paper to the top and bottom of the layout just to pull it all together.

Until next time,
