I’m up today to share with you my second layout for September, but this time I’m sharing a 12×12 layout. I’ve used the Travel Grid Cut File from our September release, and I love how much impact you get from this file.
I love how graphic and customisable this Cut File is, and at first I intended to pop photos into some of the empty squares. But I found this 4×4 photo of a recent holiday to Brisbane, and decided to go with this instead.
I cut the file at almost 12×12, so that I could fit my photo in the bottom left corner. I then went into total scrapbook geek mode when I realised this paper from the Crate Paper ‘Carousel’ collection would fit nearly perfectly behind each square – eek meant to be!!
I adhered the Cut File directly to the paper backing, and then popped up the inside of the world ‘Travel’ using foam tape. I then layered up my photo and popped it in the bottom right corner, choosing to place it on a bit of an angle to play up the fun vibes I was getting from that bright background.
I then began putting my title together. I love how this Cut File gives you lots of negative space to work, even though it fills the whole page. This allowed me to put together quite a bold title, which I accessorised with lots of fun embellishments. This made a really large feature on the page, without detracting from the Cut File.
I am super happy with how this page turned out, such a bright and fun page that came together so easily because of that large background Cut File. Did you know there is a whole section of Background Cut Files in the shop that will work for you in the same way ?
Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you are joining in on the fun over at the CUT to YOU HQ Facebook group.
