Hi creatives! It’s Marie back on the blog today with a super sweet layout using the new Rosey Posey Background cutfile! I don’t get to scrap with pink very often so I LOVED making this one!
You’ll find the cutfile I used here in the shop!
The first thing I did was to remove the very outer line from the cutfile in Silhouette Studio so that I would end up with the cutfile being a full 12×12 with a slightly larger border. I then backed the flowers with acetate and the leaves with vellum as I wanted to make shaker pockets and to have a softer feel to the layout. I propped the whole cutfile up on adhesive foam before sticking it to a sheet of woodgrain paper from the Cocoa Vanilla Studios Midnight Range.
I used two colours of pink sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps to fill my shaker pockets and added LOTS of embellishments from the Midnight range!
I wanted to document these adorable pictures of our new puppy, Bella so printed four in black and white to tuck in behind the cutfile.
I also tucked some embellishments under the edges of the cutfile border.
I also did lots of layering under the edge of the photos too to add more detail.
My title was added on top of the cutfile and some of those pretty butterflies from the Happiness collection may have also snuck onto the layout at the last minute!
If you’d like to see how it all came together, there’s a process video here on my channel:
Until next time, thanks for stopping by!
