Hey crafty friends Rachel here again! I love making gift bags, boxes and tags, I love even more giving them and knowing others really appreciate the fact you made them! Today I have some gift tags to share with you. I have used the Christmas Stocking cut file.
The great thing about tags is that you can use up all the bits and pieces from various collections. I have used a mix of PinkFresh Studio Christmas collections 2018 and 2019.I measured what size I wanted my tags to go with my gift bags and pillow boxes and cut accordingly in white. So it was easier to paper piece them I used the trace function and cut the outline (Silhouette Cameo), this way you also have a neat reverse side to write your message on the reverse of the tag.
I chose two main colours for the stocking, a traditional Christmas red and a non traditional blue. I am not a huge fan of bling or glitter but always use it at Christmas, I have used glitter flocked paper and star white & gold glitter.
Before I paper pieced, so I could use the paper loop at the top of the stocking cut file I cut off the white base cut. To paper piece I have used the ‘Release Compound’ function (Silhouette Cameo) which ensures your tag paper choses are precise and neat Here I have attached the Christmas stocking to pillow boxes which will be filled with little treats. I used gold thread to attach to the pillow box wrapping it around several times and knotting at the back.
These would also look fab on a Christmas card too! It is my fav part of Christmas creating gorgeous tags and gift bag/boxes and cut files such as this allow you to personalise your gift giving. Thank you for stopping by! See you again soon.
