This Calls for a Happy Dance | Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. July is a special month , because it is a birthday month! We are celebrating the second birthday of CUT to YOU, yay! Happy Birthday CTY! 🙂 We want YOU to have some fun too, so among many exciting shares we also have two awesome challenges for you! One of them is a moodboard, and I have used the Happy Dance Title Cut File from the July Release to work with this challenge.

Here is the moodboard – look at those beautiful shades of pink! And the small touch of black&white, it is so inspiring.

We live far away from my parents, but we used to meet each month. Because of the lockdown I haven’t been able to see them for more than 4 months! It was horrible, but thanks to the internet, social media and video conferences we could keep in touch. But as you all know, that’s not the same… So I was amazingly happy when we could finally meet and hug each other! It really called for a happy dance 😉

First I cut the cut file from smooth white cardstock. I collected the pink shades of patterned papers from the And Many More collection from Pink Paislee, and backed the cut file with them.

Inspired by Gwen’s blog post 30 ways to Use Cut Files on Your Scrapbook Layouts, I traced the word happy and cut it from black cardstock (I only have the Basic Edition on my Silhouette so I cut the excessive parts by scissors). The doubled up word looks so great, I just love it!

I fussy cut some flowers and added them to some of the letters and around my photo. Finally I added some phrase stickers and confetti dots as a final touch to the layout.

I hope you play along with us! Check out the cut files in the shop and start cutting today! 😉
