Grow Old With Me | Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. I hope you all are doing well, and do have time for creating pretty stuff. For me it’s summertime and holiday, and have just celebrated our 9th anniversary. We took a little trip just the two of us and spent 2 days in Tokaj, a wine region in Hungary – we had much fun, eating and drinking, walking a lot. This photo was also taken here, it’s a little blurry as it was taken on a tour bus, but I love it so much.

This time I challenged myself by using a big and bold title on my layout. I chose the Grow Old With Me cut file from the February Release and cut it from smooth white cardstock so that it almost covers a 12″ cardstock. I was curious how I can decorate a page like this so that I also leave some white space.

I decided to use the My Favorite Story collection by Pinkfresh Studio. Rainbows are really popular right now, and I also love it, so I backed the words with the beautiful colours of the Looking for Sunshine paper. I also added some other patterned papers from the same collection.

I wanted to highlight the Grow Old words so instead of backing them I cut the letters and glued them down with foam adhesive. I like the effect it just gives to the page.

I matted my photo and added it to the upper right corner. And now I started to decorate the layout. I already had some fussy cut flowers from the Bloom and Grow paper – I cut them once when I didn’t have inspiration. Now it was good to just get them out and add them to the page.

I also decorated the letters O and D with some fussy cut flowers and chipboard flairs.

Finally I used the tiny flowers instead of enamel dots – I just love how they decorate the layout!

I hope I could inspire you to use long and bold titles on your layouts! It’s so fun and the result is great. Go and get some title cut files from the CUT to YOU shop and don’t forget to show us what you’ve created in the CUT to YOU Facebook group!
