Hi CUT to YOU fans! It’s Kirei with you today sharing my layout using a funky floral cut file called Spring Tulip that you can find here in the shop. I’ve been wanting to use it for a while and as I had this photo of me and my husband visiting some local gardens for my birthday thought it would be perfect!
I wanted the cut file to be the main feature so cut it out large enough from white cardstock so that it would fill my layout. I then backed it with some lovely bright patterned papers which really make it pop!
Then I decided that I wanted to add a border to the white cut file so that it stood out from my white cardstock background so I drew around it and cut out a base from a coordinating soft pink paper that I then stitched with black thread… now it really stood out well!
I stuck the cut file onto my 11″ x 11″ white cardstock that I had stitched using black thread to a brightly coloured patterned paper frame.
My photo is mounted onto a few coordinating patterned papers and then added to the layout by just tucking the bottom corner under the cut file.
I fussy cut some large, bright flowers and leaves that I used to embellish around my photo and in the bottom right of the layout. Then I added some puffy stickers, word stickers and sequins.
To finish off I wrote my journaling to the right of the layout using a black fine liner pen and added a small title just above my photo.
Do pop over to the shop to see all the other fab floral cut files available for you to create with…. and thanks so much for stopping by today, I’ll see you again next month!
Happy Scrapping!
