Happiness | Tamara Buckler

Hello CTY friends!!

Can you believe it’s September already!! Crazy! There are some fabulous new releases available this month, but today I’m here to share with you a fresh take on an older file.

I have used the My Happiness Cut File for the title of my layout. In the Silhouette Studio software, I have erased the word ‘my’ and then rejoined the lines in ‘happiness’ to create a single word title. I also resized the file so that the word ‘happiness’ covers nearly the full 12in of my page.

I backed the Cut File with a single piece of patterned paper, first tracing around the file and then cutting out with scissors. I then adhered the file and tidied it up and got into the nooks and crannies using my craft knife. It’s much easier to use your silhouette software here as well, but I batch cut my files, so I often don’t know what I’m going to do with them later.

I added craft foam behind my Cut File, and then adhered it to a darker strip of patterned paper to really make it pop. I added a strip of scalloped paper to soften the transition to the main background. I then tucked a word sticker to the top left, between the title and main background, for balance.

I added my photo to the right of my page to again create balance against my large title. I have created lots of layers and tucked my embellishments in tightly for the same reason. To finish off the page I added some black doodling.

Thanks for stopping by today

Big loves,

Tam xo
