Hello friends! I am back with a scrumptious new layout, featuring the Life is Short, Eat the Cake cut-file… and CAKE! Two of my favorite things, cut-files and cake! 🙂

If you are ever lacking in inspiration, stop by the CUT to YOU shop. That is exactly how this layout came to be. I was looking for inspiration and scrolling all the gorgeous designs and came upon the Life is Short, Eat the Cake title. It sparked an idea for a cake photo that I took around Father’s Day. That was all the inspiration I needed and I was off to the scrap table!

I have lots of paper layers, patterns, and textures going on in this layout, so I knew I needed to keep some of the elements simple. So, I kept the title simple with just a basic black outline for a little definition.

I used some stickers and embellishments tucked inside some of the layers to create more interest and dimesion. I just love the look of layers upon layers. It makes my scrappy heart so happy! 🙂

And that is the completed finished project. Isn’t it delicious!? LOL! That cake may have added a couple of pounds to my waist line, but it was totally worth it!
