Hi again CUT to YOU fans! It’s Kirei here with my second layout share for the month with the lovely ‘Floral Edge Set’ cut file that can be found in the shop here. It was perfect to go with the photos documenting our walks at lunchtime while my husband and I have both been working from home.
I cut the cut file twice in white cardstock and made sure it was wide enough to fit across the layout as I wanted to use it as a border along the top and bottom edge of my photos. I paired it with the Crate Paper ‘Sweet Story’ collection as the colours matched my photos really well and there was some cute ephemera that was perfect to help document my story.
I backed the cut file with some of the plainer colours from the patterned papers. This time I didn’t use foam pads to raise the backing as I wanted the edge of them to sit under my photos.
I picked the lovely ochre patterned paper to use as my background as that really made the cut file pop. I trimmed it down and distressed the edges and then stuck onto a white cardstock frame.
I added the two floral edge cut files using some foam pads to raise the outer edges to add some dimension. I then added my four photos that were mounted on some of the coordinating papers. I added one of the cut apart cards as I thought the words were perfect to use as my title ‘See The Magic All Around You’.
Then I added some of the lovely matching ephemera along the top and bottom of the title card. I couldn’t resist adding some of those pretty layered butterflies!
At the top and bottom of the layout I tore a piece of the patterned paper and folded it back and added a few cross stitches to hold it in place. This just helped to add some balance to the central element of the layout. And finally I just added some journaling and I was done!
