Hi CUT to YOU fans! I have a bright and fun layout for my second share of the month using the new Chevron Stripe cut file which you can find here in the shop. It looks just like a giant pocket so of course I needed to make a big shaker pocket….
I cut the Chevron Stripe quite large on my Silhouette from a piece of patterned paper and then distressed the inner edges before I stuck some acetate to the back. I used foam strips all around the edges of the open cut file to create my pocket then filled it with lots of different coloured sequins from my stash. I then backed it with some white cardstock and there was my giant shaker!
I flipped it upside down and stuck down onto some white cardstock. Then I added the triangle piece I had leftover from the cut file to the bottom of the layout. Now time to add my photos and embellishments!
My two photos have been waiting to be scrapped for ages… they are my husband standing outside Planet Hollywood Resort after we had been to see the Backstreet Boys who just happened to be on while we were there… that was a real bonus as they were one of my husband’s fave bands when he was younger! I attached them both to the top right of the layout and added some coordinating ephemera and stickers around the top and bottom edges.
To balance my layout I added another embellishment cluster to the bottom left again made up of chipboard stickers, ephemera and puffy stickers.
I finished off with a bright coloured title and some journaling.
Thanks for popping over to take a look, hope you’ve been inspired to use a cut file to make a giant shaker pocket! Don’t forget to stop by the CUT to YOU shop to see the latest releases as well as all the other fab designs… there really is something for everyone!
