Christmas Gift Bags | Rachel Lowe

As a paper crafter I love making Christmas cards, tags and gift boxes and bags. Here is two bags I have made using three cut files from CTY Christmas 2020 release.

And here is what I created!

I measured the front panel of this gift bag and then cut the Christmas Joy cut file in gold. I set aside the negative word joy so I could add later. I then cut Tree in a Jar using white cardstock. Using the offset function on my silhouette cameo (this simply off sets it either internal or external, to fit inside or outside by a fraction) I cut another one in vellum. I added glue to the outer edge and attached the vellum to the cardstock piece leaving an opening to fill with sequins. I then machine stitched (which you don’t have to do if you glue up once filled with sequins. I added a gold paper piece to the bottom of the jar and some gold star acetate to the lid.
I attached the Christmas Joy cut and then I added the Tree in a Jar with foam tape on my bag. I finished off adding the word joy. This obviously will be going to someone I really like lol!!! Here is my next gift bag which is a little smaller but still cute!

I cut the Christmas Bow in gold paper and paper backed it with a Christmas red paper. I added the centre with foam tape to add some height. I cut this bow at approximately four inches (width).

And there you have it, Christmas is a good time to play with cut files and use them in different ways, not just on a layout. To see all the Christmas cut files head over to the CVS shop https://createdbygwen.com.au/shop/

Thank you for stopping by and see you again in December.
