#Sk8life | Tamara Buckler

Hello beautiful CTY Peeps!! So happy to be back with you for 2021!!

I’m up today sharing my first layout for the year, featuring the awesome Sk8ter Cut File Gwen released late last year. Skating has taken over our house in the last 6 months or so, so this file is perfect to document ALL the photos I’m taking!

I started by sizing up the ‘#sk8life’ part of the file in my Silhouette Software and then duplicating it. I removed the internal cut lines from one of the elements, and then cut them from two different patterned papers. This allowed me to simply place the outline on top of the background – eliminating any need for me to fussy cut the title.

To cut out the skate board element of the file, I used one patterned paper for the majority of the file. I did however duplicate the wheel elements of the file and cut with a seperate patterned paper as I felt that backing these round areas would be tricky.

After cutting the whole board out, I backed it with black card stock, which then allowed me to add back in the elements I wanted to build my skateboard.

I layered up some paper behind my photos to ground them, and then tucked these above the #sk8life element of the file. I then tucked the skateboard under the title, so it appeared that everything was sitting on top of it.

I created some embellishment clusters around my page and added some paper strips at the top and bottom for balance.

I love how this file helped me to build such a funky and graphic page to document by #sk8tergirl! Thanks for stopping by today! Can’t wait to share more pages with you this year!

Big Loves, Tam xo
