Hello again, CTY peeps!
I’m up today sharing another layout with you, and this time I am tackling some back to school photos from last year, before we take another batch for this year!
I’m using the Backpack cut file that Gwen created late last year, and I’ve cut it kind of big, because its so cute and I wanted to make it a feature on the page! I thought this file was perfect for back to school photos because my girls always get a new backpack for the school year, which is always a big deal!
I sized up the file in the Silhouette software, duplicated it and then cut it out from 2 different patterned papers. I then deleted all the internal cut lines and cut the file again from black card stock. This gave me the ability to lay the outside of the file directly on to the card stock, and fill back in the elements I wanted to build my design.
I then cut up some old cardboard and adhered it to the back of the file to pop it up off the background, built my paper stack underneath this, and added my photo and embellishments around it. I really tried to keep everything very centred around the cut file, making a ‘visual triangle with my clusters to keep the focus very much on the cut file and photo.
The last little piece I added was the flair badge on the front of the backpack. I love how this added more dimension, and made the bag seem ‘real’.
I can’t wait to see you all create pages with this Cut File – its so easily personalised – I’m sure there are plenty of ways to make this look cute!
Thanks for stopping by again today! Big Loves, Tam xo
