Hi CUT to YOU fans! For my second layout this month I have one using my fave leaf cut file called ‘Lots of Leaves’ which can be found here in the shop. It is perfect for tucking into floral clusters which is exactly how I used it here….

I decided to use the pretty Cocoa Vanilla Studio ‘Merry and Bright’ collection as I love the colours and thought they were perfect with my photo, and it shows just how versatile it is for using with non-festive photos!

I went with the wood patterned paper for my background and edged it with distressed strips of the candy stripe cut apart strip. Then I went and fussy cut a whole sheet of flowers from one of the patterned papers…. I find fussy cutting very relaxing and it didn’t take too long as I just did it while sat in front of the TV!

Next I cut three of the ‘Lots of Leaves’ cut files in white cardstock and backed them with vellum as I wanted a soft, translucent look to them as there would be lots of colours with the flowers.

Then I attached my photo to the layout after mounting it on a piece of pastel green gingham check patterned paper. I kept it flat (rather than add foam pads) as I was going to add lots of dimension anyway with the fussy cut flowers.

I then built up two clusters of fussy cut flowers in opposite corners of the layout along with the ‘Lots of Leaves’ cut files. I played around with the positioning for a while until I was happy, then I took a photo so I can remember where they go when sticking them down!

I didn’t use much else as I felt the flower clusters didn’t need it, just a small word banner, journaling tag, some hearts and a flair button.

And finally just finished off with some journaling and then added a title using some gold Thickers from my stash…
