Hello creative Paperlovers, Welcome to the blog today! So happy to see you here,.. I made a new scrapbook layout using the beautiful cut files from Cut to You! I love using these beautiful cut files.

For this layout I chose the gorgeous cut file Create

I start with a ready to use mixed media background paper from the Vicki Boutin collection. I love the beautiful mixed media colors on this page. So most of the work has already been done. I do like the idea of using a ready-to-use background sometimes. I cut the “Create” title cut file with my Cricut Maker and placed the cut file on top of the mixed media background design paper.

I cut design paper and tags to size and place it behind the photo to create more layers. I adhere the photo with 3D foam tape. I choose serval die-cuts and flowers and playfully slide them between the layers behind the photo. Love how it turned out.

With disteress Oxide ink I color the words “create” in the colors of my background. I blend the colors together and use a blending tool for this. I use 3D foam to placed them on my layout. The colors I used are: broken china, evergreen bough, mustard seed and worn lipstick. At the top of the layout as well as on the bottom I decorate it with word strips and some die-cuts.

I cut a strip of the design paper and placed it on the side of my layout. I mix white acrylic paint with some water and make white splatters on my layout using a brush. I hope I have been able to inspire you with this layout. I had a lot of fun designing this page an I look forward to seeing you next time on the blog! XoXo, Jo
