A Piece of You | Josefine vd Hoeven | Pie Graph Cut file

Hello Creative Paperlovers,

Welcome to the blog of Cut to You! So happy you stopped by today! I had the opportunity to create another layout with these beautiful cut files.

This time I used the “Pie Graph” cut file.

I start by making a mixed media background and for that I used distress oxide “kitch flamingo” I grab a clear stamp that already looks like a stain. I stamp some ink on the clear stamp and spray it a little bit wet with water and stamp several times on the white cardstock. This is how I created this watercolor look.

When I’m done stamping I make some more splatters with the distress oxide for a more festive look. I also used some white acrylic paint and make splatters on the background with it.

I let it dry by air and placed the Pie Graph cut file on top of the mixed media background. I grab the sewing machine and stitch the edges of my cut file using some gold sewing thread. The Pie Graph pieces I trace them twice on different designs papers. From the first Pie Graph pieces I sew all the edges with gold sewing thread and placed the pieces on top of the cut file using 3D foam tape. Then I take all the second pieces from the Pie Graph cut file and sew with gold sewing thread through the center and glued these pieces on top of the other pieces.

I cut design paper to size and placed it behind the photo to create more layers. I choose several flowers and playfully slide them between the cut files. I am happy how it turned out.

I placed the title in a semicircle around the cut file. Finally I splash different colors of oxide ink on my layout. I hope I was able to inspire you with this layout and look forward to seeing you again next time on the blog! Have a great and crafty day! Xo, Jo
