Hey and hello scrappers, Melinda here with you today on the blog sharing this fun scrapbook layout I created.
I have used the gorgeous “Sundae” cut file that is available in the store.
Apparently I am not the only DT member that loves this cut file and when I checked I noticed it had been used a couple of times in similar ways so I challenged myself to do something a little different and decided to “create” a bit of “Sundae Border” to feature on my page!
For me the idea of sundaes also sparks a very soft and pretty rainbow of colours so I decided to create a rainbow of colour to sit behind my border of sundae cut files. I’ve simply used the Prima Pastel Dreams watercolour set with the packaging technique and I just love how this worked out!!
I wasn’t really sure where I was going to go next with this so pulled a bunch of stickers in softer colour tones and just added them where I thought they’d work. I have also pulledin some pretty bold black and white stickers from Heidi Swapp but felt that helped to balance the darker tones in my photo.
A couple of quick sentances for my journalling and a rainbow of SpiegelMom Scraps sequins to finish off this super fun and sweet page!
Oh, and my kids think this was the BEST DINNER EVER!! I gotta say, they aren’t all that much off the mark either lol
I do have a process video for you so hit that play button below or head on over to YT to watch!
I hope you have enjoyed my share today. Have you checked out the “Food & Family” section at the shop?? There are so many amazing cut files in there, do you have any food memories you’d like to scrap?!? I know I have a few on my list!
Until next time, happy scrapping!!
