Crazy Cousin Crew | Tamara Buckler

Hello again scrappy friends,

I’m back on the blog today sharing with you a fun little layout that I recently created. This one ended up with a very different vibe then what I expected… does that ever happen to you? Where your page just gets away from you?!?!? I had cut the Crazy Cousin Crew cut file from white cardstock, and then pulled my photos from a recent trip away with my niece, and then started pulling out brown/tan papers… and as they say, the rest is history!

I realised fairly quickly that my cut file in white was really not going to work with my colour scheme, and I am ummed and ahhed before I decided to go for a tea stained look… I mixed up some paints, mists and water until I got the right colour and consistency and applied a ‘wash’ to my cut file. I love the distressed and vintage look this gave the file, and the creamy colour really ties into my papers and embellishments.

I used some old papers from my stash, and mixed in some new Cocoa Vanilla studio ‘These Days’ collection pieces, applying the same wash to some black and white elements. I added in a gorgeous brown Charms Creation heart, and a little wooden button from CVS.

To finish off the page, I added some gold splatters, and sprinkled around some love hearts.

Thanks for stopping by again today, I hope you like this little bit different page!

Big Loves, Tam xo
