Squeeze the day | Rose Garden Frame | Petra de Vroege

Hello lovely CUTtoYOU fans! It’s my turn again to show you a layout created with the beautiful Rose Garden Frame cut file. What a stunning file this is! So delicate, and it was so much fun backing the separate flowers.

With this layout I wanted to create a kind of border beneath my photo, so I decided to rotate the cut file in a way that the flowers are the base of the layout. That way, the frame becomes an extra layer behind the photo.

I backed the file with different papers. I decided to incorporate some darker papers to make it pop. I never glue the entire file down. I love to leave some parts and bend them a bit to give the whole layout more dimension.

When I back an intricate file like this, I always flip it over, flip my design paper over and trace the file onto the paper. That way your pen or pencil is less likely to leave marks on the front of your file and you can easily cut the right size papers to back your pieces.

I hope you got inspired and hope to see you again soon! Show us your work in our Facebook group! We love to see your creations with all these gorgeous cut files!
