Hello, hello paper lovers!!! Melinda here with you today and I am excited to share my creation for CUT to YOU with you!
For today’s layout I’ve used the “Stitched Rows” cutfile because it reminds me of a BIG knit type stitch and I thought it was perfect to document my boys’ new dressing gowns for 2021!
As you can see I’ve cut this cut file really big. And using a pattern paper that I would not normally use (I brought this one for the other side lol) because the “texture” looked like warm and cosy knitting to my eye!
I decided to pull out some “older” stash for this one and I’m playing with Vicki Boutin goodies today! That teal coloured pattern paper with my cut file on it just spoke to me!!
As you can see I have overlapped my photos a fair amount – both photos had extra “stuff” in the backgrounds that I wanted to cover up – and feel that that really draws you into the actual subject of my photos.
I’ve added my title using a combination of alpha stickers and my own hand writing and, again, overlapping the photos. I did make sure to not cover up anything important!!
I added in a couple of small embellishments to clusters starting an owl in each one. My mind went “sleep” – “night” – “dream” – “owl”….. of course!! And then flowers lol It works!!
I have a process video on my YT channel if you’d like to watch this page come together or you can simply hit that play button below.
As we are heading to the end of our first month of Autumn here in Australia I have to say I am very much looking forward to a cooler change in the weather and the beautiful change of colours outside. They are not my normal go-to colours for scrapping but I do love documenting it! Those these are “older” cutfiles they are a couple of my fave Autumn-ish files!!
That’s it for me for today!! I hope that you like my layout and that I have inspired you to be creative in some way today!!
Until next time, happy scrapping!!
