Hello CTY friends,
I’m back again on the blog today with something a little different to share… After looking back over last few layouts, I realised I have been using (and lets be honest, relying on) Title Cut Files… so I thought today I would push myself outside of the norm. Today I am sharing a layout featuring the Heart of Flowers Cut File, and I just love how this came together!
I let my Silhouette do a lot of the work for me today, cutting the file from white cardstock to start with, and then pulling apart the file to double cut all of the inside pieces. I wanted to pop up each of the internal sections, so knew I needed them to be just the right size, but also wanted to fill in the file, so cut these pieces twice.
I decided I wanted the Cut File to really stand out on the background, so choose a background paper that provided a lot of contrast, and using this woodgrain gave this page a really gorgeous cottage-y feel. I have used mostly the ‘These Days’ collection to work with this vibe, and it made it so easy to pull this page together.
I nestled my photo and my paper layers to the left of the wreath, and tucked one of the die cuts from the collection just below this as my title. I then tucked in some flowers and frames around the photo for added interest.
I added another little cluster to the top right of the wreath for balance, and then left it at that, letting the Cut File shine.
Thanks again for stopping by, I love sharing these awesome Cut Files with you! Make sure you are friends with us over at Cut to You HQ, and make sure you share your work with us over there!
Big Loves, Tam xo
