“Movie Night” | Movie Night and Popcorn | Nicole Bingaman

Hi there Cut To You family! Today I am sharing my take on the Movie Night and Popcorn cut files in the Cut To You Shop.

I wanted to do something a little different with the cut files, so instead of doing the traditional outline as the file is designed, I altered the file a bit and created solid bases for both the Movie Night and the Popcorn cut files. From there I cut out the layers that would normally be backed behind the cut pieces and instead attached them to the top of the solid bases. Some of the layers I glued directly to the base piece, and others I used foam adhesive to pop up and create some additional dimension and interest.

I also decided to pull out some black glitter paper to cut out some of the layers in the movie ticket section to add even more texture and fun.

I created the same solid style base layer for the Movie Title file and popped up the letters on top of this base layer. I also printed my journaling with white text on a black background for a unique twist to my journal strips and fit in with the colors and theme of my page.

From there I dove deep into my stash for any elements I could find that fit my theme. I found all kinds of old product that I was able to pull out and play with.
I had so much fun revisiting old supplies and creating a theme specific layout thanks to the jump start of the Movie Night and Popcorn cut files.

If you would like to learn more and watch this layout take shape, I would love for you to take a look at my process video linked below where I take you through the entire process from product selection, cut file editing, and page assembly.
