Hello CUT to YOU friends! I’m excited to share my newest layout with you today! We recently took a Mother’s Day trip to the coast and I fell in love with this Fishnet Banner cut file and knew it would be a perfect background for my pictures!

I chose to cut the file out of kraft to give it a natural feel. I knew I wanted the starfish to stand out a bit more so I backed them in a lovely bronze/gold glitter paper. To make the starfish stand out even more, I cut the file out again in a light gray and cut and glued just the starfish part on top. I love the dimension this added to the layout.

Before I glued the file down, I muted the background with a little white gesso. Then I took some light blue shimmery powdered water colors to get some of the blue/green sea color on there. I added some coral splatters to draw in colors from the papers I matted my photos with. To finish it off I outlined the letters in black to help them stand out and added some typed journaling strips.

Thank you so much for looking, and if you are anything like me and love the beach make sure to check out all the lovely beachy cut files in the shop! There are so many great ones to choose from!

Xo, Jamie
