First Haircut | Jamie Striplin

Hi crafty friends! I love scrapbooking firsts for my daughter, it gives me so much joy to have those fast and fleeting memories documented forever! We recently took my almost four year old daughter for her first haircut and she was thrilled to be pampered like a little princess.

Finding the perfect cut file sure makes a layout come together easily. I knew when I saw the Floral Scissors cut file, that it would make this page! I cut it out of some white card stock and then backed the scissors with some sparkly gold glitter paper, the flowers were backed with a lightly patterned pink paper and the leaves with green.

I whitewashed the background with a little white paint and then layered some patterned papers. Knowing that I wanted the floral scissors cut file to be a focal point, I popped it up with some foam tape for extra dimension. I used black and white photos so the colors of the pictures wouldn’t compete with the papers and embellishments I chose to work with. I finished the layout off with some gold touches, enamel dots and a sweet little popped up fussy cut banner.

Thanks for looking! Make sure to check out the shop to find the perfect cut file for your next layout!

XO, Jamie
