Scrap Happy | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Well its a bit of a sad day for me today as I bring you my last share for Cut To You.

I thought it would be fitting to create this page as a testament to my time on the team.

I have used the ‘Scrap Happy’ words from the Scrap Happy cut file.

This title definitely sums up the amazing time I spent with some fellow DT members at a recent retreat.

I cut the cut file from white cardstock using my Silhouette.

Once my page was coming together I then coloured the cut file with a yellow paint pen to help it pop out from the page more.

I backed the file with some pattern paper as well as some foam tape to lift it up from the page.

I added some craft-related embellishments, fitting in with the theme of my page.

I have to say a huge thank you to boss lady Gwen for having me on the team from the very beginning of Cut To You. Its been an absolute pleasure.

Cheeky | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone! Rachel on the blog today, sharing a fun layout.

Today I am using the Dashed Circle Background cut file.

I cut the cut file from white cardstock with my Silhouette.

I then matted the white background on red, and then blue cardstock.

I added some soft yellow water colour around the page to soften the starkness of the white cardstock.

I just love the impact of this cut file, so I kept the embellishments to a minimum.

The chipboard ‘cheeky’ word and the monkeys were a perfect title for my little man.

I added a small cluster of embellishments and my journaling circle right in the middle of the circle cut file, drawing the eye into the centre of the circle.

I finished off with some black splatters.

Don’t forget to check out what’s new in the shop.

Keep your eyes peeled for some very exciting things happening here on the blog in December!

I cut the cut file from white cardstock with my Silhouette.

I then adhered it to my background paper with foam tape to give the stitches some dimension.

I added two embellishment clusters to allow the stitches of the cut file to form the third ‘corner’ of my visual triangle around my photo.

I added a doodled border and some hand written journaling.

Getaway Bliss | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone! Rachel on the blog with you today.

Today I have a couple of different projects to share with you

using the Floral Bouquet Frame Background cut file.

I have used this cut file on a layout of me on our

honeymoon 10 years ago – eeeek!!!!

I really liked the tropical feel to the florals of this cut file,

and I teamed it with a tropical themed paper collection.

I sized the cut file to 10×10 with my Silhouette, and I cut one sheet of double sided paper. I used one side for the outside frame and one side for the inside frame. Using the same sheet of paper ensured the cut lines of my frame would line up perfectly.

I added some tropical themed embellishments and words.

I really love the versatility of this cut file,

and I have also created 2 clean and simple cards using it.

I resized the cut file with my Silhouette and cut 2 cuts from white cardstock.

I then got out my watercolours and coloured one of the cut files. I traced around the second cut file as a template then coloured the tracing. I then adhered the cut file over the ‘shadows’ to create two opposite looks.

I added a simple sentiment to each card.

I added some Glossy Accents over the cut file to add some subtle shimmer.

Just One More Chapter | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today.

I have a layout to share today of my little guy and his love of reading (and I’m pleased to say just like his mum!!)

I added some acrylic paint and some stamping to a piece of patterned paper for my background. I used the Book Stack Background Cut File as a feature on my page.

I used a purple Gelato to create a soft, pastel tone to the outline, then backed the cut file with patterned papers. I also added some more detail with a fine black pen

I have used the Book Lover Cut File for my title.

I cut the ‘Just One More Chapter’ cut file from white cardstock, then coloured the outline with red ink and the internal pieces with black gesso. I added some cheesecloth under the title just to lift it up out of the background.

I added some word stickers, some ink splatters, hand-written journaling and a felt embellishment.

Head over to the shop to see what’s new!

Caught On Camera | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone! Rachel back with you on the blog today.

Today I have a bright and fun layout to share.

I have used the Caught On Camera Page Builder cut file on my layout today.

I cut the cut file from black card stock using my Silhouette.

I then backed it with some bright, stripy patterned paper.

I added some white card stock and a black stripe as highlights to the camera Cut File before backing with the stripy paper.

Before I stuck the title down I created some more interest in the background using some white modelling paste through a stencil to create some subtle texture, then added some ink splatters in bright rainbow colours.

I added a small cluster of embellishments and some hand-written journaling.

Head over to the shop to check out what’s new!

Happy Minecraft Day | Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Rachel with you today with another birthday layout to share!

As soon as I saw the Grid Block Background cut file,

I immediately wanted to use it to create a layout

documenting my son’s Minecraft-themed birthday party.

I cut the Grid Block Background cut file from black cardstock with my Silhouette.

I backed the squares with papers of different shades of green. I then added some sketched lines around the green squares with a Sharpie for some extra detail.

I added the ‘happy day’ words from the Candles Page Builder cut file for my title. Once again I cut them from black cardstock, then backed with yellow card.

I also added some stamping for extra detail.

I added some Distress Oxide using the packaging technique

to add another layer to my background.

I added some embellishments, my photos,

and some hand-written journalling.

Head over to the store to check out all the latest releases.
