Moments Captured| Josefine

Hello Paperlovers,
Welcome to the blog of Cut to you! So happy you stopped by! I had the opportunity to create another beautiful layout with these amazing cut files! The theme is floral and I chose the following two cut files “Daisy Trio” and “Flower Crown

I grab a white cardstock sheet. I start making a mixed media background and for that I use Distress Oxide “mowed lawn” using a clear stamp that already looks like a stain. I stamp some ink on the clear stamp and spray it a little bit wet with water and then stamp several times on the cardstock. This is how I create a watercolor look.

When I’m done stamping I make some more splatters with the distress oxide for a more festive look. I also use some white gesso and make splatters on the background. I let it dry by air. I grab the sewing machine and stitch several circles on the background.
I backed up the “Flower crown” cutfile with different types of design paper and placed it along with the “Daisy Trio” (that I cut out several times) on the mixed media background!

I cut patterned papers to size and place it behind the photo to create some more layers. I adhere the photo with 3D foam tape. I choose several flowers and playfully slide them between the cutefiles. I am happy how it turned out.

Between the flowers and the cutfiles I place word strips a rosette and butterflies. At the top of this layout I placed a perspextives Title “Moments Captured” and at the bottom of this page I added design strips and make some more stitching around the edges with the sewing machine.

Now that my layout is done I am happy with the result. I hope I was able to inspire you with this layout and look forward to seeing you again next time on the blog!

Have a great and crafty day!

Jo

You’re my Sunshine|Posey Duo|by Josefine

Hello Paperlovers,
Welcome and thank you for stopping by at the Cut to you blog today! So excited to show you a new scrapbook layout that I made with these beautiful cutfiles.

For this layout I used the gorgeous cutfile “Posey Duo“. I cut this cutfile twice and used them as ephemera behind my photo. It looks almost as white lace.

I started with a white cardstock background. I chose a template and used my distress oxide to create a yellow mixed media background using a blending tool for this. At the end I mixed a little bit of water with distress oxide ink and made some splatters. I did the same with the white gesso. I let the mixed media dry by air.

Now I started to place the cutfile on top of the mixed media background. I cut out this cutfile twice and glued it in place as ephemera. On top of the cutfiles I place the photo which I have covered with design paper. I cut some design paper to size and placed it behind the photo to create more layers.

I am starting to decorate my scrapbook layout. For this I use various die-cuts, stickers, labels and enamel dots.Under the title “You’re my sunshine” you see tassels. I made these from design paper strips and cut them to about half size. Then I rolled them up and placed them under the title using a string. I cut two design paper strips to size and glued them to the side of this layout. With my sewing machine I make several stitches. I splash some more with the white gesso and my layout is done.

This is a quick way to create a layout. I hope you got some great inspiration and ideas. Hope to see you next time! Xoxo, Jo

Crazy Love|by Josefine

Hello Paperlovers,

Thank you so much for stopping by at the Cut to You blog! It’s Josefine here sharing a new scrapbook layout with you. My challenge for today’s layout was to “use a black cutfile” so I chose a safe one to cut out, and I have used it as my title. The file is called “Crazy love Circle”

I grabbed white cardstock as my base because it looks so good with against my black “Crazy love” title. I then cut a design paper to 6 inches, and this will be the bottom half of my page. I then used my sewing machine to sew stitches around my page.

I stamped the center of my page with yellow shimmer paints (Inklingz) using my clear background stamp for that. It’s a mixed media technique that I use a lot in my work. See also my videos on Youtube. I love this simple and convenient technique to create a beautiful background. I decided to cut the photo in the shape of a circle to fit inside my title, and I also cut a circle out of the design paper that I wanted to use behind the photo. I used a circle cutter to do this.

With my sewing machine I sewed around the edges of the design paper circle and I placed it in the center of this page with the photo on top. Now I started with the title “Crazy Love Circle” that I have already cut with my Cricut Maker. I put everything in place and I started to glue the words one by one.

I fussy cut different flowers from the design paper and glue them around the photo. I made three paper roses and placed them under the photo with several die-cuts. I decorate the page with some hearts and my layout is finished! I had a lot of fun making this scrapbook layout! Hope you had a lot af fun reading my blog today! I want to thank you for stopping by today on the Cut to You blog and wish you a beautiful and creative day!

Outdoor adventure|Caite Floral Set|by Josefine

Hello Paperlovers, welcome to the Cut to You blog today! So happy to be here again…….It’s Josefine here showing you a new scrapbook layout using the great flower cut file Caite Floral Set. This cutfile is perfect for making awsome paper flowers and I used the beautiful title Outdoor Adventure.

We love the outdoors and I wanted to use this older funny picture of the kids for this spring layout. So First I started creating the paper flowers using my Cricut Maker. I cut out the flower set twice for one flower. The first time with the pattern in the flower and the second time without the pattern in the flower (see photo)
I do this in 3 different cardstock colors.
Then I ruffled the edges of the flowers with the distress edges tool from Ranger.
I curl up the leaves using the end of a brush and then I glue the flowers together and so I create the paper flower. For the center of the flower I place a flower cut out in white.

Then I cut the design paper to size and place it behind the photo. Now it’s time to decorate my scrapbook page.
I place a cardboard embroidery hoop on my light purple cardstock background. Then place the paper flowers around it. I place my photo and begin to slide the die-cuts between the flowers and the photo. I cut out the branches in the same color of the flowers and place them it between.

I use the “Outdoor Adventure” cutfile as part of the title and cut this out in a smaller size and backed it with pink cardstock.
I decorate the title with die-cuts and a word strip. Then I write a small journal under the title of my scrapbook layout.

I mix some gesso and water together and with my brush I make white splatters. I use a colored string at the top of my cardstock embroidery hoop. I make some stitches with the sewing machine under my journaling and on the side of the layout.

Finally, I place a design paper behind my cardstock. I had a lot of fun making these paper flowers. They are so easy to make too! I hope you guys also will give it a try! Can’t wait to see all those beautiful flowers! Wish you all a lovely and creative day. XoXo, Josefine

Oh Snap| I love to craft|Doodle frames|by Josefine

Hello Paperlovers, Welcome to the Cut to You blog today! So happy to see you… It’s Josefine here showing you a new mixed media layout using the gorgeous title “Oh Snap” and the beautiful “Doodle Frames

First I started creating the background on the white cardstock. I applied some distress Oxide with a acrylic shape stamp that looks like a stain (or splatter) The colors that I used are “Worn Lipstick” and “Picked Raspberry” With a brush I applied a little bit water to the ink on my acrylic stamp for a more watercolor effect on my background.

When the Distress Oxide on my background is dry I stamp again with another background stamp. (look at the photo) In this way I create more dimension in my mixed media background. At the end I made some spletters with the Distress Oxide colors. I backed up my cutfile with design paper and made 3D alphas from the same design paper. I color the edges of the Alphas with distress oxide and attach them with 3D foam on the cutfile as well using some pink thread.

Now we started decorating my scrapbook page. First I placed my the Doodle Frames Cut File on my layout, which I had foiled gold using the beautiful foil from Spiegelmoms. Then I placed my title ” Oh Snap” on top of the golden frames using some 3d Foam so I can make layers under this cutfile.

I cut some design paper to size and put it behind the photo. Then I slide my Photo a litte bit under the cutfile title and decorating it further with die-cuts, cardstock stickers, word strips, acrylic shapes and puffy hearts.

With different Alphas I made my title “Oh snap I love to Craft” love how that turned out! I grab my Acrylic paints and made some splatters with some different colors like Purple, light green, pink, orange and of course white gesso! So this page looks more festive! I had a lot of fun creating this layout with the beautiful cutfiles! I hope that I have inspired you a little bit with this festive layout! Have a lovely and creative day! XoXo, Jo

Yay, Happy Birthday!|Happy Days|Josefine

Hello Paperlovers!

Welcome to the Cut to You blog today! Today I am sharing a new mixed media layout with you using the beautiful cutfile “Happy Days” A fantastic cutfile that I can use perfectly for my son’s birthday layout.

For the background I used different colors of distress oxide. I used a background stamp to make multiple impressions to create colored spots. I also used a sweet little cupcake stamp and stamped it in three different colors on the background.

Then I place the cutfile on my layout and cut some balloons from different design papers. I put these on top of the cutfile but also slid a few underneath to create a layer effect. I drew the letters for ‘happy’ on some patterned paper and vellum paper and stitched them together with green thread. This created a 3D effect when I placed it on my layout.

I cut the patterned paper to size and placed it behind the photo. With different die-cuts and stickers, I created clusters above and below the photo. I also decorated the balloons with different word strips. At the end I make splashes with all the colors on my layout for a more festive and confetti look. So it really is a birthday layout.

I cut out some circles and attached them with green thread. I placed some of the green patterned paper underneath my white cardstock background and sewed it in place with my sewing machine. I had a lot of fun making this colorful layout. I really like working with the beautiful cut files from Cut To You.
I wish you lots of fun with your creativity and these beautiful cut files and hope that I have inspired you a little with this layout.
Have a lovely day!
XoXo,
Jo

Happy 2021 “The good life”|2021|Spring Floral Banner| Josefine

Hello Paperlovers,
Welcome to the Cut To You blog today! It’s Josefine here showing you a new mixed media layout using the beautiful 2021 Cut File and the Spring Floral Banner. Yes, I used two Cut File on this scrapbook page!!

First I started with the background. I applied Distress Oxide with a acrylic stamp that looks like a stain and the ink color that I used is “Evergreen bough” With a brush I applied a little bit water to the ink on the stamp for a more watercolor effect on my layout.

When the Distress Oxide on my background is dry it’s time to started with the cutfiles. First I placed my “Spring Floral Banner” on my background and under the floral of the cutfile I placed some Flower die-cuts (see photo) from the beautiful “Daydream” collection from Cocoa Vanilla. This way I make layers with my die-cuts and cutfile.

I made four banners from the design papers of the “dayDream” collection, cut on size and stitched them with silver thread. I placed the banners on my layout with the photo on top. I also put some die-cuts and paper flowers on my page.

Now it’s time for the second cutfile. I used the 2021 cutfile as part of my title. I backed it with acetate decorated with silver dots. I edited the bottom of the 2021 title with silver glitter. After that I stitched it on my layout with silver thread and decorated with a word strip “The good life” and a paper flower. Finally I make white splashes with gesso for an extra festive look!

I hope I was able to inspire you with my layout! I wish everyone a beautiful day and enjoy creating! XoXo, Josefine

Stay Cozy | Winter Page Builder | Josefine

Hi Paper lovers!

Thanks for stopping by today! It’s Josefine here with my first scrapbook layout for the Cut to You blog. I am so excited this new year! I wish everyone a healty and fantastic year, that we can go back to normal and that we can hug each other again! With this layout I look back to the winter memories in 2010….

I made a 12×12 mixed media layout and used the beautiful Winter Page Builder Cut File. First I started with my background. I used a background stamp that already looks like a stain. With the stamp and the distress oxide ( the color I used is ” Faded Jeans” ) I stamp on the cardstock. I also spray some water on my stamp and ink for a more watercolor effect. Then I made some splashes with the distress oxide and used a brush for that.

I let my mixed media background dry by air and start editing the two snowflakes with the Nuvo glitter paste. I love those beautiful glitter, especially when they are subtle.

When everything is dry I start decorating my layout. I cut some design paper to size and place it behind the photo to create more layers. I glue the cutfile title “Winter” with tacky glue and make 3D alpha’s from design paper and vellum. In the middle I stitch it with silver thread. I attach the 3D alpha’s with 3D foam on my layout.

Between my photo I slide some die-cuts of flowers and twigs. I put an extra title on my layout ” Stay Cozy” and put a deco photo frame on the photo. Finally I make some splatters with white gesso for a real winter effect. I cut the white cardstock to size and paste a design paper behind it. I stitch the edges with my sewing machine and use blue thread. My layout is ready now!

I had a lot of fun working with this fantastic cutfile! I wish you all a lovely and creative day! XoXo, Josefine
