Feel the Magic | Crystal Barrett

Hello Cut to You friends!!!

Crystal here documenting some vintage Disneyland photos. I feel like the Feel the Magic cut file is the perfect fit for Disneyland photos. As a kid and even as an adult, the minute that I walk into the park, I can feel the magic. Even with vintage photos that I did not take I get the same feeling.

I backed the cut file with colorful pattern paper and placed it on a patterned paper background. Even though I had cut the cu file out in white I felt like it was getting lost in the background so I took some silver paste and applied it to the background pattern paper where the cut file was going to sit. I feel like this really makes the title pop off the page without using dimension.

I found that the way the cut file was designed that 4×4 pictures tucked in perfectly, like it was made for them (lol it probably was). I finished the layout off with a few embellishments and I love how this one turned out.

Happy Days | Crystal Barrett

Hello Cut to You friends!!!

Crystal here documenting some Disneyland photos that my parents took on their trip in 1973. This month the DT is focusing on theme parks. I tried to tell my husband that we had to go to Disneyland so I could have pictures to scrapbook for my DT layouts this month. Sad to say he said NO! It was worth a shot! I am happy to document theses photos.

I chose the Happy days cut file. I decided that since my photos had a yellow tint to them I would cut the cut file out in yellow pattern paper. Plus the flowers behind my mom are also yellow. I love cutting cut files out in pattern paper, to me I feel like it gives an additional interesting layer.

I chose to back the happy in a single pattern paper in green to bring out the grass. For the balloons they screamed to be turned into shaker pockets.

Amour | Banner of Love | Crystal Barrett

Hello Cut to You friends!!

Crystal here documenting the love that my children have with our pup! She is really our third child. The favorite the 2 legged children say. The Banner of Love cut file was just perfect.

I have a picture of my daughter and Pepper (the pup)snuggling on the floor. I backed this cut file with a valentines collection. The heart “O” was the perfect spot for my picture. My picture was a little small so I placed ephemera over the gaps and no one knows any better.

I added a little interest to the left side of my layout with some sewn on scraps that matched the papers I backed the cut file in. You could use the cut file as the title or place the title in the banner area as I did.

Dream Big | Floral Wall Hanging | Crystal Barrett

Hello Cut to You friends!!

Crystal here today with a fun layout! I needed to find the perfect cut file to document the Cut to You DT. I felt that the Floral Wall Hanging cut file was it because this layout will be displayed on my wall.

I cut it out of white cardstock and backed it with a 6×6 paper pad as well as some scraps. Scraps are great to use when backing a cut file. It really helps you maximize a collection.

Once my cut file was backed I placed it on a piece of white cardstock and it was getting lost. I added some mixed media behind the cut file so it will pop off the page. I also literally popped the cut file off the page with some fun foam.

You can see the entire process over on YouTube.

Thanks so much for a hanging out with me today and Remember to wear your crown.

Our Story | Pineapple Punch cut file | Crystal Barrett

Hello Cut to You friends!

Crystal here today with a very special layout. I have a thing for pineapples. I am Pineapple Papers over on YouTube and @pinapplepapers on Instagram (yes I know it is spelled wrong but the other handle was already taken). When my husband took me to South Carolina for vacation the only thing that I really wanted to see was the Pineapple Fountain. Which you can legally get into by the way. I was so excited to document this picture and the Pineapple Punch cut file was the perfect!

I decided to make a giant shaker pocket out of this cut file. I cut the file at 11 inches tall out of some embossed metallic paper. With some wet glue I applied some acetate to the back. Once that was dry I fussy cut the acetate. I cut some foam into thin strips and applied them all around the cut file making sure there were no gaps. I filled the cut file with some sequins. To hold the sequins in I again applied wet glue to the foam and placed a piece of vellum to the back. I allowed the glue to dry. Once it was dry I fussy cut around the cut file and attached it to my background paper.

I backed my photo with several paper layers. I popped it up on some foam so that it would sit even with the cut file. Finished off with some embellishments and stickers. I even gave the cut file a bow.

Awesome Read | Book Happiness and Coffee Love cut file | Crystal Barrett

Hello Cut to You friends,

Crystal here today to share a fun layout featuring not one but two amazing cut files, Book Happiness and Coffee Love. I felt like I needed both since I was documenting a picture of the book that I was reading and my cup of tea.

I first separated the book from the title. I cut the book out in some green cardstock and backed it with pattern paper from a 6×8 paper pad.

The Coffee Love cut file comes with 2 amazing cup cut files. I chose the one with the heart. I cut it out of some gold foiled pattern paper and backed it with the same pattern papers as the book.

My photo snuggled in nicely under the book and on top of the cup. I finished of the page with some embellishments, sequins and a title.

You can check out the entire process over on YouTube.

Hello Cut to You friends,

I finished embellishing the layout with mostly Bungalow Lane. I would love for you to join me over on YouTube and see the entire process.

Hello World | Airport Background Digital Cut File | Crystal Barrett

Hello CUT TO YOU friends,

I am Crystal Barrett AKA Pineapple Papers and I am so excited to be sharing my first design team project with you today! I am working with the Airport Background Digital Cut file.

Airport Travel SVG design for Cricut and Silhouette machines. Cute SVG cut file for Scrapbooking and Vinyl DIY crafts.

I chose to do 3 different techniques with the airplanes. First I painted the insides of the cut file with sliver bells Shimmerz paint.

Then I backed 3 of the airplanes with vellum.

The last 3 airplanes I handstitched with 2 strands of white embroidery floss.

I finished embellishing the layout with items from my stash. I would love for you to join me over on YouTube for the entire process video. https://youtu.be/I-v7i4Htm-A
