CUT to YOU | Happy | Ferris Wheel Cut File | Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. When I first saw the Ferris Wheel digital cut file, this photo came in my mind. Unfortunately the amusement park in Budapest has been closed, but you can ride some of the old machines in the City Park. This mini ferris wheel is also there, so tiny but still fun.

First I cut the Ferris Wheel cut file from white cardstock. As the mini wheel on my photo is coloured blue, I decided to back the Ferris Wheel cut file with blue tones. I used the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I chose the tiny floral paper and the leopard patterned paper from the 6″x8″ paper stack and the Bright Side paper from the 12″ paper pad.

I chose the Just Chillin’ patterned paper for my background. I matted my photo with the same patterned papers and glued the cut file on the background paper. I placed my photo on right bottom side of the cut file.

Then I started to embellish the layout. I added a phrase sticker and some puffy stickers from the Sunkissed collection, and a title cut out from the Midnight collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I really like how this monochromatic layout has turned out. Have you already used this cut file? If yes, show us in the CUT to YOU HQ Facebook group!
And now had onto the CUT to YOU shop, and grab some new cut files to work with! πŸ˜‰

Chasing Rainbows | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends!

It’s Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a new scrapbook layout featuring the gorgeous Chasing Rainbows cut file! I pulled out the gorgeous Sunkissed collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio to use with this cut file.

The Chasing Rainbows cut file

I cut the Chasing Rainbows cut file from white cardstock as I normally do and then chose some cute patterned papers to back behind the design. For the rainbow section of the cut file I chose some bright, striking papers and behind the clouds in the design I chose the cloud paper. In the title part of the design, I picked 2 of the bright papers from the rainbow section to repeat down in the title. Once it was all backed, I adhered it with craft foam underneath to a plain piece of white cardstock. I love the shadows and dimension this adds to my page.

I trimmed down the white cardstock background and matted the entire layout with two gorgeous 12′ x 12′ patterned papers from the Sunkissed collection. With big cut file designs like this one, sometimes it is difficult to decide where your photo/s are going to be placed. I usually audition all of the possibilities for my photo and decided on the right of my design was the best. I did not mind that the photo covered part of the cloud at the top and part of the title at the bottom.

Once my photo was placed, it was time to embellish! Under my photo to the left, I added a 3′ x 4′ journal card, I just loved the colours in this card and the big large sun was perfect! I like how the card draws your eye towards the photo too. I also stapled a small yellow, rainbow banner sticker to the top right corner of my photo too. On top of the small sun in the cut file, I added a wood epoxy bead of a sun, this was the perfect place for this! I added some small puffy stickers around my page and also one of the large rainbow die cuts above the photo. Lastly I added some accessory phrase stickers to help tell the story, I added these to the top of the cloud on the left and stamped the date stamp on the right of my photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by the CUT to YOU blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it?! I just love Gwen’s cut files so much! There are some amazing cut file designs in the CUT to YOU online store so make sure to check them out!

Happy creating!

You Are The Sweetest | The Sweetest Donut cut file | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends!

It’s Tarrah back with you and today I have a very sweet new layout to share featuring the CUT to YOU Sweetest Donut cut file! I cut the design out from white cardstock, as I often do, and as you can see by the design below, I did not use the entire cut file on my page. I chose the title and the donut that was attached to the title only.

The Sweetest Donut cut file

Once the cut file was cut out by my Silhouette Cameo machine, I backed the openings of each letter with different patterned papers from the Bella Blvd My Candy Girl collection. I also chose to back the large donut with two different patterned papers to make it look as realisitic as possible! Once the donut was backed, I took some of the epoxy shape stickers and added these to the top of the donut to enhance the look of sprinkles. I also added one of the cute chipboard donuts to the centre of the large donut.

I adhered the entire cut file to a yellow background paper and then trimmed down the yellow paper to add it to the donut paper. I layered a tag underneath my photo and adhered the photo with craft foam on top of the large donut. I also tucked in a donut die-cut here and a cute heart on top of the bottom right corner of the photo. In the top left corner, I adhered the Yummy chipboard piece, very fitting for the photo of my youngest boy eating a massive donut!

Above the title, I added some more donuts in both the die-cuts and the chipboard pieces. To help tell the story and to ad some more cute details, I also added the Too Cute phrase and the You’re Sweet phrase. At the bottom of the cut file, I added the Living the Sweet Life phrase die-cut, I popped this one up on foam tape for some dimension. I love how you can see the shadows and different levels of dimension on my layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by the CUT to YOU blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it?! Make sure to check out the CUT to YOU store for amazing cut file designs for all your projects!

Happy creating!

CUT to YOU | You Make My Heart Sing | Heart of Flowers Cut File

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. It’s July and it means that CUT to YOU is celebrating its 3rd birthday! Hip-Hip-Hooray! πŸ™‚ I am so happy to be part of this celebration by scraplifting one of Gwen Wruck’s layouts. Gwen is the dreamer and founder of CUT to YOU, whose cut files you can use for any project, they are so versatile and easy to use.

For the scraplift I chose a layout from Gwen’s You Tube channel, she is doing such an amazing job there too! For example she is making some stash busting videos, in this one she uses the Marigold collection of Maggie Holmes. I really love the colours on this layout, the soft light blue background paired with the darker green shades of the bows – it is beyond gorgeous. Her signature stitching on the photo and on the edges give the whole layout a special final touch. You can find the Delightful Day layout on her Instagram as well, and the processing video on her YT channel.

And here is my scraplift:

For the layouts we used the Heart of Flowers cut file:

First I’ve chosen a photo of my daughter on a photo seccion 4 years ago. She enjoyed the shooting so much, we got awesome photos, like this one. I used 4″x6″ photom just like Gwen, which was a little unusal for me because I like to use 3″x4″ photos on my layouts.

As the photo has some softer shades I wanted to reflect on that on my layout. I decided to use a darker background and replaced the bows with light coloured butterflies.

For the layout I used the More Than Words collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio, the background paper is the Collage paper. I backed the cut file with some pieces of the Effervescent paper, it has beautiful shades of many different colours. I chose blue for the leaves and blush/yellow/orange for the flowers.

I matted my photo with some patterned papers, and started to arrange my layout. I put the photo on the right because she is turning on the photo to the left.

I fussy cut some butterflies from Gossamer paper, and added them to my layout. For my title I used a chipboard of the More Than Words collection, and put it down in the middle where the two strings meet.

I also added some cut outs, phrase stickers and a chipboard element to decorate the page, and as my journalling. For the final touches I added some enamel dots and hearts.

I really love how this layout turned out – thanks Gwen for the inspiration!
I hope you like it too! If so, go to the CUT to YOU shop and grab some new cut files and get creative this weekend! πŸ˜‰

Happy Birthday | Sunburst Heart Cut File|Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. My little daughter has just turned 8 years old last month – I can’t believe how fast time flies! So I was happy to make a birthday layout for her, with one of the newest cut files from the June Release. The Sunburst Heart cut file is very versatile, you can back it, stitch it, cut it large or small, or as I did it now, you can use it as a “shaker”.

First I cut the Sunburst Heart cut file large, from precision white cardstock. Then I added foam adhesive to it, because I wanted to add some foam stickers in the holes, and I wanted the heart to stand out. This took some time because I had to cut little stripes from the foam adhesive.

When I was ready, I backed the small heart in the middle of the cut file with patterned paper. For this layout I used the And Many More collection of Pink Paislee. I didn’t glue the patterned paper on the cut file, I wanted to play with dimension here too.

I started to fill the cut file with stickers of the collection (candles, confettis), foam stickers (stars) and some other embellishments I found in my stash. I especially like the oval enamel dots of Pebbles, it was great to this layout. I also added some sequins, enamel dots and puffy stickers.

In one secsion I added some number stickers in different sizes – inspired by Steffi Ried – I really love the effect.

I matted my photo with some patterned papers, and glued under the title. Then I started to embellish the page. I added a border on the bottom, then created a cluster near my photo using stickers, cut outs, foam stickers from the And Many More collection of Pink Paislee.

I added a balloon sticker in the upper left corner for balancing the layout. Finally I added some oval enamel dots for the repeating effect.

Would you try to make such a layout? It’s good for using up a lot of embellisments from your stash πŸ˜‰

CUT to YOU | Love This | Floral Mandala 1 Cut File

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest post for CUT to YOU. Have you already seen the awesome mandala cut files from the April Release? I just love them, you can use it for several projects! This time I used the Floral Mandala 1 cut file for my layout.

First I cut the Floral Mandala 1 cut file from white cardstock. I wanted a bright colourful mandala, so I chose the two ombre papers from the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I backed the cut file with those beautiful yellow, pink, red, greens and blue colours. Looking at this mandala it makes you happy! πŸ˜€

This time I chose the photo only after having backed the cut file. The photo was taken in the spring break, when we were riding on our bycicles at the Lake Balaton. We were pretty happy, as the weather was beautiful enough to do so. I matted the photo with the same patterned papers as the cut file.

As a background I used a white background paper. Before glueing the mandala cut file on it, I watercoloured the background with my Catherine Pooler ink pad (Cummerbund).

Then I started to add some embellishments to the layout. I used cut outs, puffy stickers , clear stickers, phrase stickers from the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I curled up the flowers to give them some dimension. I really like that effect. Finally I added my journalling.

I hope I could inspire you to get creative with these awesome mandala cut file! I would love to see what you create, so show it in our Facebook group! And don’t forget to grab some new cut files from the CUT to YOU shop πŸ˜‰

CUT to YOU | Love You More | Heart You More Background Cut File

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. As Spring is coming on the Northern Hemisphere, I feel the desire to use more colours on my scrapbook layouts, so I combined the Heart You More Background Cut File with rainbow colours. I chose a photo of my daughter and me from last year, when she asked for a selfie on the couch – we’ve spent so much time at home last year, that couch selfies are definetely a thing! πŸ˜›

First I cut the Heart You More Background Cut File from white cardstock and chose the Good Vibes patterned paper from the Happiness collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio for backing it. I followed the colours of the patterned paper.

When I was ready, I glued it onto a white cardstock, and cut 1-1 cm from both sides. I cut two stripes from the Good Vibes paper and glued them on the left and right side to make it 12″ again. I also added machine stitching to them.

I placed my photo in the bottom right corner and added some stickers and a die cut to it. I also made a little cluster in the left corner above to balance the layout.

I think this colourful layout with these many hearts doesn’t need any more decorations, sometimes a cut file is just enough πŸ˜‰

I hope I could inspire you to use such background cut files as a highlight of your layout. Go to the shop and get some of the new cut file designs or some amazing background cut files for your next projects! πŸ˜‰

First Day | Onward and Upward Cut File | Belinda Jane

Hello beautiful friends!

I am happy to be with you again to share my latest design team project. As I scrolled through all the amazing designs available in the CUT to YOU store, my eye was drawn to the Onward and Upward Cut File. I thought it would be perfect to document my son’s first day at his Early Learning Centre.

I just love the symbolism of the increasing bar graph representing his journey out into the world of learning. And I had so much fun playing with some bright and bold colours to create the layout.

You can see how I created this layout in my process video below:

And here are a few more close-up images of the finished layout.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my project. I hope you have a great day!

CUT to YOU | You Are Beautiful | Floral Camera Cut File

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. My task for today’s post was to use a floral cut file, and I chose the Floral Camera Cut File from the February Release. I took some photos of my daughter when she finally lost her second front tooth – she was very happy, beacuse it was a long process… And this cut file was a perfect match for those precious photos πŸ™‚

First I cut the Floral Camera Cut File from white cardstock. For my layout I used the Flora No.3. collection of Carta Bella, I chose similar colours to back the florals in the cut file as in one of the cards, which I fussy-cut to create a title.

I backed the camera with a light blue patterned paper from the same collection. I printed one of the photos twice, and lifted it using a heavy cardstock, as if the camera lens was zooming on her.

I fussy cut some flowers from a patterned paper of the Flora No.3 collection and glued it under the florals of the cut file to complement it.

In order to balance the layout I added some fussy cut florals to the bottom right corner too. Finally I added my journalling. I really love how it turned out: full of flowers, as I love it!

For more beautiful floral cut files head on the CUT to YOU shop and have a look at the Florals and Nature section of the shop, but there are also gorgeous designs among the March Release! πŸ˜‰

CUT to YOU | Unique | Sweetheart Banners Cut File

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest scrapbook layout for CUT toYOU. In February we have great collaboration with Spiegelmom-Scraps, you could already have seen many gorgeous inspirations with the amazing Fab Foil. As I show you my layout, I’m going to tell you what not to do when using a Fab Foil… Interested? Then read along πŸ˜‰

First of all: watch the great How to? video of Sara Scraps and do what she says. If she says you should use a smooth cardstock, then don’t try to turn the textured cardstock over to think it’ll do, because it won’t… The first mistake I’ve made.

After getting some bits and pieces of leftover smooth white cardstock (I ran out of them, I blame the pandemic), I began to release the silver Fab Foil of Spiegelmom Scraps and adhere it to the smooth cardstock. Take your time, if you don’t want to get bubbles. The second mistake I’ve made.

When I was ready, I started to cut out the Sweetheart Banners Cut File from the February Release. I used the settings Sara advised in her video: Heavy Coverstock, Blade 7, 2 passes. It cut out and came down easily from the cutting mat, but for the next time I should use a new blade, as the edges are not as smooth as I wished… The third and last mistake I’ve made… ;-P

For my background I used a watercolour paper and used some Catherine Pooler ink pads (Drive-In, Sauna) for watercoloring, the purple color is from the Prima Watercolor Confections Pastell Dreams Set. I backed the cut file with some patterned papers of the Bohemian Dreams collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I chose the Beautiful Mess paper as a frame for my layout, so I chose colours to match that patterned paper.

I matted my photo, and fussy cut some hearts from the Gypsy Heart paper and added them colour-matching on the background. Finally I coloured the title with the Drive-In ink pad and the purple watercolour I used for the background.

It hope I could inspire you to try this Fab Foil, beacuse it’s an awesome product! Inspite my failures I would like to make some more layouts with it πŸ˜€ So get some new cut files from the shop, order the foils from Spiegelmom Scraps and start creating with Fab Foils! πŸ˜‰
