December | Christmas Wearth Cut File | NenaScrap

Hi Cut To You friends,

It’s NenaScrap with you today.

I hope you had a merry Christmas.
To end this month of December with you, I propose a layout with the beautiful cut file Christmas Wearth.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the cut file and then backed it with two different printed papers, one for the leaves and one for the bow.

I chose this cut file because of the bow, I love bows, don’t you?
I used the Spanish collection Cuento De Invierno by Mintopia Studio.

I placed my cut file in the center of my page, I wanted it to be the focal point. Then I placed my photo on the left. It is matted with printed papers and tissue paper. I added cardboard to the back of each element to add volume.

To the left of my photo, I added my embellishments: die-cuts, a stamped label, an epoxy sticker. I used 3D adhesive foam to give volume. My title “December” is a stamp that I fussy cut and added on my photo. I stamped it in pink to recall the bow on the cut file.

I added die-cuts and star enamels all over my page. I finished it off with gold splatters.

I hope you enjoyed this layout and that it will inspire you to create with the Christmas Wreath cut file.
It is absolutely beautiful!!!

I can’t wait to see you in 2021. I hope you have a very happy holiday season with your family and friends.

Have a happy crafty day.

Hugs & kisses from France.

25 Days of Christmas | Fast, Fun and Festive Scrapbook Ideas | Day 14

Hi creative friends, it’s NenaScrap with you today and I’m so excited to join the 25 Days of Christmas celebrations. Have you seen the wonders already created by the design team members ? There are only great creations !!!

For my part, I chose to propose a layout with the beautiful Tree In A Jar cut file.

I used Crate Paper’s Snowflakes collection from last year. I love Christmas collections, but every year they sit in my stash because I don’t have enough pretty pictures to scrapbook. In the west of France where I live, December is a period where the night falls early and the weather is very often grey and rainy. Not ideal for nice pictures.

So, I’m going to tell you all about it, I now do real photo shoots of my kids with props and lighting to have beautiful pictures during this time of the year.

I cut the Tree in A Jar cut file out of white cardstock four times with my Silhouette Cameo. Because the design is so thin, I programmed my Cameo on two passes of the blade and the cut was perfect.

I matted my jars with printed papers from Crate Paper and glitter paper. It requires a bit of precision but with a glue pen, it can be done very well.

I placed my 4 jars at the bottom of my page to make like a border.

I glued two strips of torn printed paper to the top of my page and made a cluster with my photos and embellishments.

I chose to print the same photo twice, once in color and once in black and white and I used 3D adhesive foam to add volume to my embellishments.

I hope this layout will inspire you to participate with us in the 25 Days of Christmas with the wonderful CUT TO YOU cut files.

Hi CUT TO YOU friends,

It’s NenaScrap back with you today to share a new fall layout featuring the fabulous Circle Garland Cut File.

I cut the cut file twice with my Silhouette Cameo : once in white cardstock and a second time in printed paper, keeping only the outer edges. This way I was able to back my cut file very easily by superimposing the 2 cuttings. I love the it looks !!!

I used the pretty fall collections Bungalow Lane by Paige Evans and Peaceful Heart by Jen Hadfield.
I cut a circle in the center of the Bungalow Lane #12 printed paper. I used my cut file as a template for this.

I glued a white cardstock behind my printed paper which forms with the Circle Garland cut file like a frame on the white background. I glued my cut file with 3D foam squares to add volume.

The cut file being in 2 parts, I hid the gap between the 2 with my photo on the right and my embellishment cluster on the left. This gives the effect of a wreath of leaves.

I used Bungalow Lane die-cuts and epoxy stickers as embellishments. I love the beautiful fall colors in this collection, which goes perfectly with the Circle Garland cut file and the photo of my kids during our trip to NYC in 2014.

You can find the video process of this layout on my YouTube channel :

I hope you like this layout and that it inspires you.
Thank you for stopping by.

Have a happy crafty day.

Hugs & Kisses from France.

Sun + Shine | Summer Vibes cut file | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends!

It’s Tarrah back with you today to share a new Summer themed layout featuring the gorgeous Summer Vibes title cut file. I decided to take just the sun shape from the cut file and put the title away to use another time.

Summer Vibes cut file

I cut the design out from white cardstock and then backed it with a nice pink patterned paper. I then added craft foam underneath and adhered it to the top half of the teal scalloped patterned paper I chose for my background. I also adhered a strip of the blue patterned paper just under the sun cut file. I love the shadows the layout gets when elements are popped up with dimensional adhesive.

I placed my photo and the layers under my photo towards the right of my page and also some adhered some embellishments here too. Some embellishments I added were stickers, floral and regular die- cuts, floral transparent pieces, puffy stickers and chipboard pieces. I placed my title ‘Sun + Shine’ in the arch of the sun and also adhered a wood veneer cloud here.

To the left of my photo I placed a tag upside down so that the tie was at the bottom, I love the texture some twine brings to a layout. I also adhered the Sun Shine Sun yellow diecut here. As I added yellow here I then strategically placed a yellow embellishment in 2 other positions on my layout to create a visual triangle on my layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by the CUT to YOU blog today. Be sure to check out the CUT to YOU online store for amazing cut file designs to go with your next project.

Happy creating!

CUT to YOU | Wowza! | Jack o’lantern Digital Cut File | Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest post for CUT to YOU. Halloween ist just right around the corner, and although it is not a traditional celebration in Hungary, we do carve pumpkins as a decoration. Since my daughter is big enough, she likes to help. These photos were taken 2 years ago, and she was very proud of her self-designed pumpkin πŸ™‚

For my layout I used the Jack o’lantern digital cut file of CUT to YOU.

I’ve been really inspired by Belinda Jane’s post from September, where she describes in a video how to make a stitching file from a regular cut file. I decided to try this with the Jack o’lantern cut file. I let my Silhouette Cameo cut the stitching holes and hand-stitched the cut file. It took some hours, but I really like the look of it. The distance of the holes is not always the same, but if needed I could make a hole with my needle.

When I was ready with the stitching, I matted my photos with some patterned papers from the Hey Pumpkin collection of Crate Paper. I also added a border from a patterned paper of this collection. I placed my photos diagonally, and watercoloured the background of the photos with some Catherine Pooler ink pads (colours: Catching Rays, Orange Peel).

I added some chipboard pieces from the Hey Pumpkin collection, but found that my layout needs some more decorations. I had an older clear stamp set of Lawn Fawn in my stash, so I decided to make some pumpkins. I stamped the images of the Pick of the Patch stamp set on a smooth cardstock with the Midnight Premium Archival Ink of Catherine Pooler, and coloured them with a watercolor brush pen using some Catherine Pooler ink pads (colours: Catching Rays, Orange Peel, Mandarin Spice and Sage).

I also stamped some phrases from the Pick of the Patch stamp set of Lawn Fawn, and added some multicoloured leaves from the same stamp set as the last touch.

Would you try to stitch a cut file instead of backing it? Wether or not, you should head on to the CUT to YOU shop and grab some Halloween cut files, if you have not yet πŸ˜‰

CUT to YOU | Happy | Ferris Wheel Cut File | Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. When I first saw the Ferris Wheel digital cut file, this photo came in my mind. Unfortunately the amusement park in Budapest has been closed, but you can ride some of the old machines in the City Park. This mini ferris wheel is also there, so tiny but still fun.

First I cut the Ferris Wheel cut file from white cardstock. As the mini wheel on my photo is coloured blue, I decided to back the Ferris Wheel cut file with blue tones. I used the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I chose the tiny floral paper and the leopard patterned paper from the 6″x8″ paper stack and the Bright Side paper from the 12″ paper pad.

I chose the Just Chillin’ patterned paper for my background. I matted my photo with the same patterned papers and glued the cut file on the background paper. I placed my photo on right bottom side of the cut file.

Then I started to embellish the layout. I added a phrase sticker and some puffy stickers from the Sunkissed collection, and a title cut out from the Midnight collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I really like how this monochromatic layout has turned out. Have you already used this cut file? If yes, show us in the CUT to YOU HQ Facebook group!
And now had onto the CUT to YOU shop, and grab some new cut files to work with! πŸ˜‰

Chasing Rainbows | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends!

It’s Tarrah back with you and today I am sharing a new scrapbook layout featuring the gorgeous Chasing Rainbows cut file! I pulled out the gorgeous Sunkissed collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio to use with this cut file.

The Chasing Rainbows cut file

I cut the Chasing Rainbows cut file from white cardstock as I normally do and then chose some cute patterned papers to back behind the design. For the rainbow section of the cut file I chose some bright, striking papers and behind the clouds in the design I chose the cloud paper. In the title part of the design, I picked 2 of the bright papers from the rainbow section to repeat down in the title. Once it was all backed, I adhered it with craft foam underneath to a plain piece of white cardstock. I love the shadows and dimension this adds to my page.

I trimmed down the white cardstock background and matted the entire layout with two gorgeous 12′ x 12′ patterned papers from the Sunkissed collection. With big cut file designs like this one, sometimes it is difficult to decide where your photo/s are going to be placed. I usually audition all of the possibilities for my photo and decided on the right of my design was the best. I did not mind that the photo covered part of the cloud at the top and part of the title at the bottom.

Once my photo was placed, it was time to embellish! Under my photo to the left, I added a 3′ x 4′ journal card, I just loved the colours in this card and the big large sun was perfect! I like how the card draws your eye towards the photo too. I also stapled a small yellow, rainbow banner sticker to the top right corner of my photo too. On top of the small sun in the cut file, I added a wood epoxy bead of a sun, this was the perfect place for this! I added some small puffy stickers around my page and also one of the large rainbow die cuts above the photo. Lastly I added some accessory phrase stickers to help tell the story, I added these to the top of the cloud on the left and stamped the date stamp on the right of my photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by the CUT to YOU blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it?! I just love Gwen’s cut files so much! There are some amazing cut file designs in the CUT to YOU online store so make sure to check them out!

Happy creating!

You Are The Sweetest | The Sweetest Donut cut file | Tarrah McLean

Hi creative friends!

It’s Tarrah back with you and today I have a very sweet new layout to share featuring the CUT to YOU Sweetest Donut cut file! I cut the design out from white cardstock, as I often do, and as you can see by the design below, I did not use the entire cut file on my page. I chose the title and the donut that was attached to the title only.

The Sweetest Donut cut file

Once the cut file was cut out by my Silhouette Cameo machine, I backed the openings of each letter with different patterned papers from the Bella Blvd My Candy Girl collection. I also chose to back the large donut with two different patterned papers to make it look as realisitic as possible! Once the donut was backed, I took some of the epoxy shape stickers and added these to the top of the donut to enhance the look of sprinkles. I also added one of the cute chipboard donuts to the centre of the large donut.

I adhered the entire cut file to a yellow background paper and then trimmed down the yellow paper to add it to the donut paper. I layered a tag underneath my photo and adhered the photo with craft foam on top of the large donut. I also tucked in a donut die-cut here and a cute heart on top of the bottom right corner of the photo. In the top left corner, I adhered the Yummy chipboard piece, very fitting for the photo of my youngest boy eating a massive donut!

Above the title, I added some more donuts in both the die-cuts and the chipboard pieces. To help tell the story and to ad some more cute details, I also added the Too Cute phrase and the You’re Sweet phrase. At the bottom of the cut file, I added the Living the Sweet Life phrase die-cut, I popped this one up on foam tape for some dimension. I love how you can see the shadows and different levels of dimension on my layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by the CUT to YOU blog today! I hope you enjoyed my layout as much as I enjoyed creating it?! Make sure to check out the CUT to YOU store for amazing cut file designs for all your projects!

CUT to YOU | You Make My Heart Sing | Heart of Flowers Cut File

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. It’s July and it means that CUT to YOU is celebrating its 3rd birthday! Hip-Hip-Hooray! πŸ™‚ I am so happy to be part of this celebration by scraplifting one of Gwen Wruck’s layouts. Gwen is the dreamer and founder of CUT to YOU, whose cut files you can use for any project, they are so versatile and easy to use.

For the scraplift I chose a layout from Gwen’s You Tube channel, she is doing such an amazing job there too! For example she is making some stash busting videos, in this one she uses the Marigold collection of Maggie Holmes. I really love the colours on this layout, the soft light blue background paired with the darker green shades of the bows – it is beyond gorgeous. Her signature stitching on the photo and on the edges give the whole layout a special final touch. You can find the Delightful Day layout on her Instagram as well, and the processing video on her YT channel.

And here is my scraplift:

For the layouts we used the Heart of Flowers cut file:

First I’ve chosen a photo of my daughter on a photo seccion 4 years ago. She enjoyed the shooting so much, we got awesome photos, like this one. I used 4″x6″ photom just like Gwen, which was a little unusal for me because I like to use 3″x4″ photos on my layouts.

As the photo has some softer shades I wanted to reflect on that on my layout. I decided to use a darker background and replaced the bows with light coloured butterflies.

For the layout I used the More Than Words collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio, the background paper is the Collage paper. I backed the cut file with some pieces of the Effervescent paper, it has beautiful shades of many different colours. I chose blue for the leaves and blush/yellow/orange for the flowers.

I matted my photo with some patterned papers, and started to arrange my layout. I put the photo on the right because she is turning on the photo to the left.

I fussy cut some butterflies from Gossamer paper, and added them to my layout. For my title I used a chipboard of the More Than Words collection, and put it down in the middle where the two strings meet.

I also added some cut outs, phrase stickers and a chipboard element to decorate the page, and as my journalling. For the final touches I added some enamel dots and hearts.

I really love how this layout turned out – thanks Gwen for the inspiration!
I hope you like it too! If so, go to the CUT to YOU shop and grab some new cut files and get creative this weekend! πŸ˜‰

Happy Birthday | Sunburst Heart Cut File|Piroska Czako-Radvanyi

Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. My little daughter has just turned 8 years old last month – I can’t believe how fast time flies! So I was happy to make a birthday layout for her, with one of the newest cut files from the June Release. The Sunburst Heart cut file is very versatile, you can back it, stitch it, cut it large or small, or as I did it now, you can use it as a “shaker”.

First I cut the Sunburst Heart cut file large, from precision white cardstock. Then I added foam adhesive to it, because I wanted to add some foam stickers in the holes, and I wanted the heart to stand out. This took some time because I had to cut little stripes from the foam adhesive.

When I was ready, I backed the small heart in the middle of the cut file with patterned paper. For this layout I used the And Many More collection of Pink Paislee. I didn’t glue the patterned paper on the cut file, I wanted to play with dimension here too.

I started to fill the cut file with stickers of the collection (candles, confettis), foam stickers (stars) and some other embellishments I found in my stash. I especially like the oval enamel dots of Pebbles, it was great to this layout. I also added some sequins, enamel dots and puffy stickers.

In one secsion I added some number stickers in different sizes – inspired by Steffi Ried – I really love the effect.

I matted my photo with some patterned papers, and glued under the title. Then I started to embellish the page. I added a border on the bottom, then created a cluster near my photo using stickers, cut outs, foam stickers from the And Many More collection of Pink Paislee.

I added a balloon sticker in the upper left corner for balancing the layout. Finally I added some oval enamel dots for the repeating effect.

Would you try to make such a layout? It’s good for using up a lot of embellisments from your stash πŸ˜‰
