It is Ali here with you today sharing a fun layout dedicated to our wonderful hobby, Scrapbooking. Gwen has created a few cut files dedicated to our hobby. I fell in love with the Create Title cut file and just had a blast making this layout. I wanted something special to document the layouts I had published in the Scrapbooking & Cards Today magazine and this cut file was perfect to document this dream come true.
I was so excited to use the new craft line from Doodlebug Design and backed each word with a different patterned paper. I knew I wanted to have some fun with those cute hearts and decided to make them into shakers. I put a layer of acetate on the back of the hearts and used three layers of foam tape to outline each heart. I then filled the hearts with different colored bling from PinkFresh studios and sealed it with another heart that I cut out of vellum.
I used more foam tape on the back of the cut file to give it some dimension and added it to the white cardstock. I embellished with a few heart flairs from Scrappin Happy Studio on top of the hearts on the cut file. I have so much love for our hobby and I hope it shows with this layout!
I taped the white piece onto a rainbow sheet and then decorated the rest of the layout with some Doodle Pops.
I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I do. Happy Creating!
It is Ali here with you today sharing a layout I scrap lifted from the Cut File Queen, Gwen. It is Cut To You’s third birthday, and we are celebrating all month by picking one of Gwen’s creation and making it our own. One of my favorite layouts that Gwen created was with the Summer Vibes cut file.
I knew I wanted to use the Simple Stories, Sunkissed collection because of the colors and the cute sun paper that was included in this collection. I had an idea that I wanted to curl those sun rays and thought it would be so cute to have the suns underneath the rolled part, peeking out and one on each of the rays that I curled. I then hand stitched around the sun with orange thread, and it added so much texture to the cut file. I backed the letter with orange polka dot paper to tie with the orange in the sun.
I decided to kiss the paper with some blue paint for the background to make the sun pop even more. I used foam tape on the back of the cut file to give the layout some dimension. I then decorated around the cut file with stickers and enamel dots and loved how it turned out.
I used a picture from a trip to Chicago my Husband and I took and love all the bright neon colors in the photo. I just feel the summer vibes pouring out of this page!
Please share on the CTY Headquarters Facebook page if you decide to scrap lift one of our designs. We would love to see it.
Hello my crafty CTY Peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing a Disney layout using the new cut file, Feel the Magic! My husband took me to Disney World to celebrate my birthday last month and we had a wonderful time. We didn’t know what to expect since it was our first trip in 18 months since Covid hit, but I was happy to be able to celebrate my birthday at Walt Disney World.
I am so excited that Gwen created these cut files so I can scrapbook my Disney trip pictures this next month. Feel the Magic cut file was a perfect one to go with the picture of my husband and me holding Tinkerbell with the castle behind us. She is magic with all her fairy dust! I used a Disney collection to back up the cut file with all different Disney papers and added foam tape to pop it. I love the title at an angle, it gives the layout an even more magic feel to it.
I added mickey’s glove to the letter A and it looks like he is waving at you. I decorated around the cut file with even more star stickers. You can never have too many stars!
I added a banner sticker to the upper left hand corner with some enamel dots in between the banners and thought it was a perfect touch to frame the layout. I took some black paint and splattered it all around the page to make it look like Tinkerbell was leaving a little trail of her fairy dust.
Make sure to head to the shop and check out all the new June designs that Gwen created. I am in love with all of them and can’t decide what I will scrap next from my birthday trip at Disney!
I hope you get to feel the magic this summer and get to travel! It’s wonderful!
Hello everyone! It is Ali here with you today sharing my Choose Happy layout for the Everyday challenge. I must say this was a challenge for me since I mostly scrap events and not everyday moments. The Choose Happy cut file in the shop caught my attention right away because this is how I choose to live life.
I knew I really wanted to make this title pop so I used a bright bold stripe Doodlebug Design Paper to cut the title out on my Cameo. The colors match my polka dot dress so I was happy about that. I used foam tape to pop up the first layer of my title without the Happy letters inside. I then added two layers of foam tape to pop the word happy so it really stood out on my page.
I added a colorful heart flair from Scrappin Happy Studio for the middle of the A and some Doodlebug Design bling for the letter P. I love the quotations around the title too, because I consider this my motto. Below is the link to this wonderful cut file.
I had so much fun doing something different with this title cut file and making the flowers to match my dress.
I hope you enjoy this layout and remember to always Choose Happy! Life is short and you only live once!
Cheers my CTY friends! It is Ali here with you today sharing another fun layout using the Tropical Punch cut file. This picture was taken at Walt Disney World with my two friends and me. We were celebrating with our tropical drinks because we just completed the Disney Princess Half Marathon!
I used a few die cut ephemera pieces, puffy stickers , and clear stickers to complete the layout. I always add foam tape to the back of my cut files to add some dimension to my page. It makes a world of difference to the look of your layout when you do that.
Hello my CTY friends! It is Ali here with you today sharing a layout I created using the Segmented Circle Cut File. I decided to use this photo of my husband that was taken in Door County on vacation last Summer. He dislikes his photo taken so I appreciate this photo so much more and had to make sure that this layout was extra special.
The photo was taken at a Lavender farm and I wanted to pick up the red color from the barn and the blues of his shirt and eyes for the layout. I decided to use the Fancy Pants Hometown Summer collection. I filled the circle with bits from this collection and added a 5 x 7 photo of my husband in the middle. I then added foam tape to the back to add some dimension to the layout.
The photo didn’t fill the opening of the cut file so I used a few flower die cuts to cover that and you could never tell that there was ever a small gap.
I used letter stickers for the title and a few enamel dots sprinkled behind. I wanted to add a little something to the white space and created some blue and red paint splats in the two corners.
There are so many uses for this cut file, it is a great one to add to your cut file collection. Go check it out in the shop and I would love to see what you create with it. Make sure you share it on the CTY Facebook page!
Hello my crafty CTY peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing my layout using the Rows of Bows background cut file. As soon as I saw this cute cut file I knew it would be perfect for my picture with Hello Kitty. It is all about the bows and this background was perfect for her.
I attended the Hello Kitty night at a Milwaukee Brewers game and they had a meet and greet before the game. She was dressed in her pink uniform so I decided to use multiple different pink patterned papers to backfill the bows. I made the corner bow red to match the one she is known for. I also made a blue bow to represent that it was at a Milwaukee Brewers game.
I added some bling bling on all the centers of the bows. I had a few Hello Kitty stickers that I used around my picture. I used foam tape behind the Rows of Bows cut file to give the layout some dimension.
I hope you enjoy the layout. Hello Kitty is a favorite of mine and always will be.
Happy Easter my Crafty Peeps! It is Ali here with you on this Spring day, sharing my Easter layout using the Bunny Kisses Easter Wishes cut file. I am so excited that Spring has arrived and the Easter bunny is on his way!
The picture of me was taken on Easter day when I just got back from a girls scrapbooking trip in Utah and we were given these cute bunny ears to wear. I thought this title was perfect to go with my Easter picture. I used the new Easter/Spring line from Simple Stories called Bunnies and Blooms. I love backing up large titles with many different pattern papers. 6 x 6 paper pads are perfect for cut files if you are trying to save your larger sheets. for backgrounds.
I love adding dimension to my layouts so I always use foam tape on the back of my cut files. To add even more dimension to this page I pop dotted the tulips and used them for a bottom border of my title. It helps ground the cut file and I think it looks adorable.
I added some cute embellishments to my cut file that included this adorable foam girl bunny sticker, puffy mouse sticker and some enamel dots. I also like to add brads to the middle of my letters. You can also use enamel dots or other stickers to give your cut file some attention.
I added these love birds kissing and they are so sweet perched on top of my title. You will love using this big title cut file for your Easter layout.
I am sending everyone bunny kisses and Easter Wishes this weekend!
Hi my Crafty Peeps! It is Ali here with you today sharing an Easter layout using the Bunny Silhouette Digital Cut File. This picture was taken last year of my parents coming over to our house to drop off an Easter basket. Due to Covid, we were not able to spend Easter together and it broke my heart. I was missing my parents and they surprised us by coming over and staying outside to give us bunny kisses and Easter wishes.
I am so excited to share with you a little trick I just taught myself with the Silhouette Cameo. I knew I wanted to have two bunnies on my layout and I wanted them to face each other. If you go into the Silhouette library and go to the tool bar there is a replicate button and you can mirror your original image and have two bunnies for the price of one.
I had so much fun creating these bunnies with the cute Simple Stores new Easter line. I backed up the bunnies with the fun different papers and added brads for their eyes and a cotton ball for their cute little fluffy tails.
I broke out my fringe scissors to cut the grass and layered 2 rows together. I stitched the bottom of the grass and tucked in an Easter basket and a couple eggs. I decorated the rest of the layout with stickers.
Go check out the cute Easter and Spring cut files in the shop! I will be doing another Easter layout post next month. So start hopping and get crafting with all these new cut files that Gwen has created.
Hello my crafty friends! It is Ali here with you today sharing an unique take on using a floral cut file. Most of you think that the floral cut files can just be used with Mother’s Day, wedding or other flower photographs. I am here to show you today that you can combine sassy and sweet together by using the new Ribbons and Roses Cut File.
I wanted to document the purchase of my new Harley Davidson helmet and leather jacket. If you look closely at the photo you will see a pink rose on my motorcycle jacket. I also have the same rose on the side of my helmet (you just can’t see it in this photo). Harley Davidson also uses a banner logo like this one in the cut file. I knew it was a perfect match for my photo when I saw the ribbon and rose cut file in the shop.
I used Felicity Jane’s new paper collection, Millie to back up the flowers and banner. I wanted to give the flowers some dimension so I used 3 different shades of pink to make them stand out more. I did the same with the leaves. I added enamel dots to the the centers of the flowers and sprinkled some around the banner. The title Let’s Ride was done with matching pink letter stickers from the Millie collection..
To tie in the black leather and helmet tough look I sprinkled black paint in 3 areas of my layout. I also used a black tab for my date and used 2 Scrappin Happy Studio flairs to bring the sassy and sweet combination together.
Spring is coming and I am excited to get back on the bike with my husband. Remember to be safe!
