Hello Friends! I hope everyone is doing well and finding some time to be creative! I have a fun new layout to share with you today, using the Choose Happy and Floral Garland 01 cut files from the shop!
Every year, around my Birthday I like to create a “selfie” layout. This year I turned the big 50! I wanted to celebrate by using all my very favorite things on a layout! I used lovely florals, butterflies, stitching, woodgrain, tons of layers and a cut file with an uplifting message! Just a few of the best things on earth! Am I right!? 🙂
I cut the Floral Garland cut file on this lovely teal patterned paper to use as a layering element amongst all the other florals and butterflies.
I really wanted the title to take center stage. So, I cut the title out on patterned paper once and then used the offset function in Silhouette to cut the title again on the violet/ coral umbre paper. This gave the title more prominence on the page and really made it stand out. I am so pleased with how this layout turned out and had so much fun creating it! Thank you so much for stopping by and remember to Choose Happy!
Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. I hope you are all doing well, have some time for our great hobby too! I really love to get out of everydays’ business and get crafty with some beautiful cut files 😉
For my layout today I’ve chosen the Magnolia Butterfly cut file, from the August Release. It is just.gorgeous! 😀 First I’ve been thinking it from patterned paper (which would also look great), but then I cut it from smooth white cardstock.
I backed the flowers and leaves of the cut file with some beautiful patterned papers of Cocoa Vanilla Studio Daydream collection. I love the combination of peachy blush and darker grey colours!
I decided not to back the whole cut file, because I didn’t want to glue the whole cut file down, only the middle of it. I wanted to have some floating effect with the wings.
As I put the cut file on the white cardstock background, it looked so empty on the left side with only the photo there. So I made a border onto the left side, using paper stripes and some die cut or fussy cut flowers and leaves. I also added machine stitching.
I matted my photo with some patterned papers from the same collection, and started to decorate my page. I added some more flowers and leaves around my photo and under the cut file.
Finally I added some phrase stickers, fussy cut butterflies and a paper rose from the embellishment kit of the Daydream collection. And the title and some journalling is a must-have too.
