Let’s Roll | Tamara Buckler

Hey hey everyone,

I’m back on the blog today with a fun and bright layout featuring two of our awesome Cut Files – the Skate Page builder and the Christmas Banners Background.

I have wanted to use the Skate page builder Cut File for aaages! And I knew I had the perfect picture for it, I just had to find it! I sized the Cut File in my Silhouette software to suit a 9 x 12in layout, and cut the skates from some pink patterned paper and the title from white cardstock.

I backed the skates and the title with a mixture of paper scraps and some awesome rainbow paper from the Photo Play Tulla and Norbert collection. I also used silver washi tape for the ‘metal’ areas on the skates.

I was a bit bummed after I backed my title, as I usually like to be deliberately random when I am using a mixture of papers to back the letters – but because these words were seperate, I didn’t notice that I used the rainbow paper for the first letter of both. Not a big deal, just one of my quirks! We all have those right?

I hadn’t planned on using the Christmas Banner on this page, but I had it cut and sitting on my desk, and it fit perfectly in that corner, so why not!? Perfect! The file had been cut in white card stock, and because I had decreased it’s size so much, and the lines are very thin. This made it a little tricky to back, so it’s not perfect, but I’m okay with that!

To finish off my page I added some wood veneer and acrylic embellishments from Corbett Creations, and really these small touches are all it needed as the Cut Files speak for themselves.

Make sure you have joined us over at Cut to You HQ on Facebook. We still have challenges running from iNSD, so jump in and check it out.

Hope you’re all staying safe and well.

Big Loves, Tam xo

Crazy Tree Trimmers | Meggy Blethen

Hello Scrapbookers!! This is Meggy and I am back with a fun Christmas tree trimming layout. I had so much fun using a few of the Christmas shop releases.

I absolutely love the tree cut file and since we were decorating the tree they worked perfect to frame my photo.

Make sure to grab this cut file for all of your Christmas Tree trimming layouts!

I also used the Christmas Banners cut file to give the top of the layout a little more ballance.

And the star Christmas Tag was perfect as an extra embellishment.

I added a few pieces of ephemera in the top corner with the Christmas Banner file.

I love how the white alpha goes really well with the background and the cut files.

I love this cluster with the cut files and the cut little embellishments.

I backed each of the trees with a pretty patterned paper and added the last part of the title under this cluster of trees.

I just love how the cut files all work together even thought I used 3 different ones! I challenge you to use more than one cut file on a layout! It is a lot of fun.

I had so much fun creating this layout! Make sure to grab these cut files in the shop for yourself this holiday season! I hope you have a wonderful season!

You can watch my process video below. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

The Best | Michelle Stokes

Hi Scrappy friends, its Michelle back here today with a new layout share for you all. I’ve used one of our BRAND NEW cut files from the 2019 Christmas Release – the super cool Christmas Banner set.

This cut file is AMAZING! It cuts out so perfect and is super easy to back using loads of pretty pattern papers – especially the Unforgettable collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Is definitely MORE than just a Christmas cut file. Super versatile for all the celebratory photos you want to scrap, like the photo I’ve used from my birthday a couple months back. The multiple different pattern papers distract from the obligatory night time birthday cake photo that isn’t super focussed HAHA

I made sure to balance the different patterns out across the page and didn’t group similar patterns or colours together. I even threw in a little silver glitter paper for a hint of sparkle here and there.

The entire cut file was cut on white cardstock using my Silhouette machine. I think I resized the design slightly to ensure it took up a good chunk of the background paper. I adhered it to the backing pattern paper using some foam tape for dimension. You all know how much I love a little dimension on a layout to make it POP!

I added a couple of complimentary embellishments here and there, but not too many as there was already so much going on around this page

Love love love layering different complimentary patterns together!

Well friends that is all from me today. Thank you so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out ALL the new files loaded in store HERE, and check into our facebook group – CUT to YOU HQ to chat and share all things CTY.

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!
