Hello creative peeps, Nicole again! I am so excited to share another project this month. Today I am sharing a layout I created to document our Holiday Card for friends and family from 2020.
I paired my holiday card with a sketch that showed a lot of hand cut banner pieces. I immediately remembered the Christmas Banner Digital Cut File in the shop. Using a cut featuring cute layered banner all in one piece stepped up the dimension and interest in one step.
I cut both banners with my Cameo on white textured cardstock. I didn’t have a large enough piece of gold paper to cut the files with gold, so instead I used gold stamping ink and a dauber to color the white cardstock gold. This took the plain white outline up another notch.
I used 6×6 paper pads to back the openings in both banners. Knowing that one of the banners would be flipped and arching across the top of my photo card I made sure to be aware of any papers that featured text on them to insure that they were right side up in the finished product.
Once I had all the openings filled in, I attached the banners to the layout with liquid glue. Then I layered on lots of different products to add depth and dimension to the banners with die cuts, brads, enamel dots and stickers.
You can see the entire process in the video below, I love sharing my layouts over on YouTube and love chatting in the comments!
