The Best Days | Tamara Buckler

Hey Guys,

I’m here today to share with you a layout featuring one of the awesome Cut Files from our Home Bodies collection.

I am really super proud of how positive we have kept the vibe over at Cut to You HQ, and I love that our Home Bodies range has really focussed on the good things that have come out of the difficult time that has been Covid 19.

I chose to scrap a photo of my daughters having a picnic in the park at the end of our street. We are very lucky to live in a small village, so my kids have been able to get around outside without too much worry. I have loved how this time together has shifted and changed their relationship, particularly as my youngest takes her first steps into tween-hood.

I have cut the Best Days Cut File from white card stock and backed it with a gorgeous coloured paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studios. I then popped it up on foam, and adhered it to my patterned paper layer, overlapping the bottom of my photo slightly.

I really love how bright and fun this layout turned out, and I really hope that down the track it reminds my girls that they did have some fun during the Covid lock down!

Hope you are all safe and well!

Big loves, Tam xo

Thankful for You | Marie Hirst

Hi everyone! I hope you have all had an amazing INSD weekend! It’s my turn on the blog today sharing this cute page!

This is Bella, our puppy. We got her in September last year for some company for me at home and that’s what inspired the title – I really am so thankful to have her. Dogs really can do wonders for our mental health!

I started with the Geo Triangle Cutfile which I cut from white Cardstock and then backed with a variety of the pink shades from the Happiness Collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

I left a couple of the triangles empty so that I could tuck some of the floral ephemera into them. I added foam tape to the back of the cutfile to add some dimension before sticking it on to a sheet of white cardstock.

I printed my photo 3×4 in black and white and added some more pink layers along with some of the navy hearts paper. I added foam to the back of the photo for even more dimension.

I added my title in the bottom right corner and then added lots of lovely ephemera pieces and a small cluster at the top left too.

I love how it turned out! You can find this cutfile and sooooooooo many more in the shop and be sure to sign up for the newsletter as Gwen sends out two free cutfiles each month!

Until next time scrappy friends,

Stay safe,

Marie x

Family | Marie Hirst

Hi everyone! It’s Marie here on the blog today with this pretty layout documenting a lovely family photo. Family photos are few and far between in our house as one of us is usually taking the photo!

And here is the Spring Floral cutfile I used.

I started by adding the image into my Cricut software and removing the outer and some of the not-needed inner contour lines so that the main shapes were cut out of the cardstock so I was using the negative of the file as I wanted to feature it as my background.

I decided to pair it with the beautiful Unforgettable collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio (which I have to admit I have totally been hoarding). I used a turquoise to back the cutfile and then added a small piece of the woodgrain paper around two of the edges (and kept the rest for another time).

I used several different sheets from the 6×8 pad to mat my photo and add lots of layers. Then I sorted through my die cut ephemera and tucked in lots of florals and hearts around the photo and into different parts of the cutfile.

I used the foam title ‘Family’ and added a few of the small black hearts at various points too. I then finished off by adding some pretty little sequins and some enamel dots, again tucked into the cutfile and sprinkled all over! I also tucked a small tag behind the photo and added some cotton thread which was then swirled down the side of the page and of course I added some of those beautiful butterflies!

I love the way this has turned out and I love how the cutfile adds so much interest to the background and allowed me to tuck lots of little details in too!

You’ll find a process video here on my channel:

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out all the awesomeness that is currently in the shop!

Until next time, stay safe and keep on crafting!

It’s a Christmas Wish |Tamara Buckler

Hello scrappy friends!!

Can you believe it’s nearly Christmas!? I’m up on the blog today sharing my last layout for 2019 and of course it’s another Christmas layout!

I have used the Make a Wish Cut File from our Christmas Collection, which I edited a little in the Silhouette software to remove the star as I new I wanted to nestle it into my title.

I have cut the File from patterned paper today, and I have stuck some pieces of cardboard box which I have cut very thinly, behind the Cut File to pop it up off the page.

I love how raising the Cut File off the page helps to nestle it above the photos, and also allows the rest of the title to be nestled into it.

It’s a little unusual for me to have the title at the top of my page, but as the white space on my photos was towards the top, this worked best. I then kept most of elements central to the page so as to draw the eye down.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my layout. Make sure you pop over to the shop to grab some of our Christmas Cut Files, because if you’re anything like me, there will be lots of photos to scrapbook in the New Year!

I hope you and yours have a fantastic and safe Christmas and New Year. I for one am looking forward to the break, relaxing, have a few wines and soaking up the sun (lookout for lots of summer layouts in the new year 😂).

Big Loves,

Tam xo

Hello Hello! Sara here today to share a sweet layout featuring the Dream Big Little One cut file. IMG_4775

I cut the file on white cardstock and then painted it using a variety of shimmery paint colors. Then I backed the file with coordinating patterned paper.

Hello Hello!

I have what might be one of my very favorite layouts ever to share with you! I love to create mixed media backgrounds. I think I have a unique take on how I approach mixed media. I like a “cleaner” look with lots of texture instead of a “messy” feel. Pair this with a gorgeous cut file and “swoon”- if I do say so myself.

For today’s layout I used the Arrows Cut File . I love how it drew attention right to my photo.

After I created my background. I backed the cut file with papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s Boys Rule collection. To compliment the colors in my photo, I added some small touches of pink.

I used a stamp to guide my journaling about all the things my son is currently loving.
