Life is short eat the cake| Tamara Buckler

Hello beautiful people!

So happy to be back with you to share my first page for 2020! Today I am playing along with our good friends over at CSI Scrapbook challenges, using Case File No. 306.

I have used the fabulous ‘Life is short, eat the cake’ Cut File, which you can find in the store in the Celebrations and Fun category.

The inspiration from CSI was all about birthdays and birthday cake and this Cut File worked perfectly!

I treated the Cut File fairly simply, just backing the block words with some red patterned paper and then mounting on foam tape, but I think that this has given the File so much impact on a very busy page.

The white cardstock against the red paper just pops!!

I was then able to tuck my photos and embellishments around the Cut File without having to cover any of the File! Love how this worked out!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and New Year season! Make sure you pop over to our shop to grab some of our new January goodies! I can’t wait to be share more with you in this new year!

Big Loves,

Tam xo

12 Days of Christmas Giveaway – Happy Christmas Day 8

Hi!

Welcome to DAY 8 of our 12 days of Christmas GIVEAWAY!

Tam here today and I’m here to share with you a page I’ve created using the Happy Christmas Cut File, which is available for free download today (08/12/19) and then for purchase from our Christmas collection after that.

I decided to use the PhotoPlay collection called ‘Kringle & Co’ to back the file, pulling out a piece of red patterned paper. Using one sheet of paper, I glued the Cut File down and then trimmed around each of the letters using my scissors and craft knife. I then mounted the whole file on foam tape and then secured it to my page.

I tucked my photos behind and in front of ‘Happy’, careful not to cover too much of my photo or the file. I then added in a few embellishments, including one of my fav B&W Crate Paper bows.

Once I had finished embellishing the page, I realised I needed to include some of the Buffalo Plaid paper into my title, so traced the inside pieces of some of the letters and then popped these inside the Cut File. Love the pop this gives!
