Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. It’s hot summer here in Hungary, best time to scrap summer photos. I chose a photo from last summer, when we spent most of the time at Lake Balaton and had much fun on the inflatable flamingo float. I have won it on Instagram and couldn’t wait to try it! We all loved it, it was big enough for an adult too, so we brought it each day to the beach.
First I cut the Vacay Mode cut file from white precision cardstock. I wanted to make a bright and colorful layout, so I backed the cut file with different patterned papers of the Sunkissed collection of Simple Stories.
Then I started to make the background, I used some Catherine Pooler ink pads (colours: Hot Tub, Pink Champagne, Limoncello) and created a watercoloured backround.
I matted my photos and cut out two tags from the tag paper of the Sunkissed collection of Simple Stories. I glued the cut file with foam adhesive on the watercoloured background, and arraneged the photos and the two tags.
I started to embellish my layout with stickers, foam sickers, cut outs and phrase stickers.
I also added some brads, hearts and sequins to decorate the layout.
Finally, I added my journalling. I really how much summer-feeling this layout has! I am sure, I won’t put it away in an album soon, but leave it on a shelf to enjoy and remember this great memory!
Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. This time my task was to make a layout with the theme ‘Everyday’. For this prompt I chose a photo of my daughter, who loves to read since she had learnt it. She enjoys it so much, that she even starts reading in the morning, still in her pajamas, and doesn’t want to stop. It makes me so happy, I hope she keeps reading all her life!
For this layout I used the Stitched Rows cut file and the Keeping It Real collection of Pinkfrsh Studio. Here is my layout:
First I cut the Stitched Rows cut file from white precision cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I left it on the cutting mat, and got out my Catherine Pooler ink pads and started to colour them. I used Catching Rays, Do-Si-Do, Sangria, Drive-In, Cummerbund colours.
When I was ready, I got them off the cutting mat.
I glued the cut file on a white cardstock. I added a stripe of patterned paper on the left side, and started to mat my photo with some patterned papers.
I added lots of flower cut outs and phrasel cut outs, foam stickers to the layout.
Finally I added my title and my journalling.
I hope I could inspire you to get out your ink pads and colour a cut file. Get some new ones from the CUT to YOU shop! Have you seen the new release? 😉
Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest post for CUT to YOU. Have you already seen the awesome mandala cut files from the April Release? I just love them, you can use it for several projects! This time I used the Floral Mandala 1 cut file for my layout.
First I cut the Floral Mandala 1 cut file from white cardstock. I wanted a bright colourful mandala, so I chose the two ombre papers from the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I backed the cut file with those beautiful yellow, pink, red, greens and blue colours. Looking at this mandala it makes you happy! 😀
This time I chose the photo only after having backed the cut file. The photo was taken in the spring break, when we were riding on our bycicles at the Lake Balaton. We were pretty happy, as the weather was beautiful enough to do so. I matted the photo with the same patterned papers as the cut file.
As a background I used a white background paper. Before glueing the mandala cut file on it, I watercoloured the background with my Catherine Pooler ink pad (Cummerbund).
Then I started to add some embellishments to the layout. I used cut outs, puffy stickers , clear stickers, phrase stickers from the Sunkissed collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
I curled up the flowers to give them some dimension. I really like that effect. Finally I added my journalling.
I hope I could inspire you to get creative with these awesome mandala cut file! I would love to see what you create, so show it in our Facebook group! And don’t forget to grab some new cut files from the CUT to YOU shop 😉
Hello Paperlovers, Welcome and thank you for stopping by at the Cut to you blog today! So excited to show you a new scrapbook layout that I made with these beautiful cutfiles.
For this layout I used the gorgeous cutfile “Posey Duo“. I cut this cutfile twice and used them as ephemera behind my photo. It looks almost as white lace.
I started with a white cardstock background. I chose a template and used my distress oxide to create a yellow mixed media background using a blending tool for this. At the end I mixed a little bit of water with distress oxide ink and made some splatters. I did the same with the white gesso. I let the mixed media dry by air.
Now I started to place the cutfile on top of the mixed media background. I cut out this cutfile twice and glued it in place as ephemera. On top of the cutfiles I place the photo which I have covered with design paper. I cut some design paper to size and placed it behind the photo to create more layers.
I am starting to decorate my scrapbook layout. For this I use various die-cuts, stickers, labels and enamel dots.Under the title “You’re my sunshine” you see tassels. I made these from design paper strips and cut them to about half size. Then I rolled them up and placed them under the title using a string. I cut two design paper strips to size and glued them to the side of this layout. With my sewing machine I make several stitches. I splash some more with the white gesso and my layout is done.
This is a quick way to create a layout. I hope you got some great inspiration and ideas. Hope to see you next time! Xoxo, Jo
Hello Everyone, it’s Piroska here today with my latest layout for CUT to YOU. As Spring is coming on the Northern Hemisphere, I feel the desire to use more colours on my scrapbook layouts, so I combined the Heart You More Background Cut File with rainbow colours. I chose a photo of my daughter and me from last year, when she asked for a selfie on the couch – we’ve spent so much time at home last year, that couch selfies are definetely a thing! 😛
First I cut the Heart You More Background Cut File from white cardstock and chose the Good Vibes patterned paper from the Happiness collection of Cocoa Vanilla Studio for backing it. I followed the colours of the patterned paper.
When I was ready, I glued it onto a white cardstock, and cut 1-1 cm from both sides. I cut two stripes from the Good Vibes paper and glued them on the left and right side to make it 12″ again. I also added machine stitching to them.
I placed my photo in the bottom right corner and added some stickers and a die cut to it. I also made a little cluster in the left corner above to balance the layout.
I think this colourful layout with these many hearts doesn’t need any more decorations, sometimes a cut file is just enough 😉
