A love like gnome other | Tamara Buckler

Hey hey CTY peeps!

I’m up on the blog today with a really fun and silly share! Some of the DT have been a bit obsessed with the little gnomes that have been coming out in collections lately, and the lovely Gwen has been very accepting of this… so much so that she made us some gnome-y cut files! Today I’m using the A Love Like Gnome Other File to document these silly photos of my girls from Halloween.

I started by cutting the file using black card stock, and then cut it a second time using a bluey green colour, but taking out the inside lines, so I could use it to back the file. I adhered these two cuts together, and then added back in the black hearts, which I stitched on for a bit of fun and texture. I also stitched around the page in black to tie all this together.

I used a very busy background paper for this page, and so applied some gesso in the background to tone things down. I also popped the entire file up on foam to provide some separation from all the busy-ness.

I tucked my photos and most of my cute little embellishments in around my title. I actually used black ink around the edges of these, to tie it back to the title and again provide some separation from the background.

I mean, how cute is this little guy ^ 😍!

Until next time, Big Loves, Tam xo
