Hello crafty Paperlovers, It’s Josefine here! I’m up on the Cut to You blog today sharing my final layout as part of the Cut to You team. I have had a great time and fell in love with these beautiful cut files, but have decided to take things a little easier. I will definitely continue to work with these beautiful cut files and we will see each other on the Cut to You Facebook group!
I started by cutting the Sunburst Heart cut file quite large. I draw the sunburst strips on the beautiful design papers from the Paige Evans paper collections and cut these out with my scissors. I sew the sunburst strips in the middle with gold sewing thread.
I used the distress oxide Broken China for some extra color on the background. I stamp several times until I am happy with the size of the mixed media stain. I splatter some more with the same color and let it dry by air. Then I placed the Sunburst Heart cut file on top of the mixed media background.
I cut design paper to size and place it behind the photo. I place the photo with all the paper layers on top of the sunburst heart cut file. I fussy cut some black and white flowers from the Pink Paisley collection and slide them between the different paper layers.
I’m looking for different die-cuts, stickers and Alphas together and giving them a place on this layout. I love to decorate my layouts with pretty embellishments. I fussy cut a few more butterflies from the Paige Evans design paper and placed them on this page. I make some white splatters with white acrylic paints for a festive look and I loved how this page turned out! All these colors make me feel so happy. Just love it!
I want to thank you for visiting the Cut to You blog today and hope I was able to inspire you with this rainbow colored scrapbook layout. I wish you all a beautiful and crafty day! XoXo, Jo
Hello Paperlovers, Welcome to the Cut to You blog today! It’s Josefine here sharing with you a new scrapbook layout that I made using these beautiful cut files. This month it’s all about celebrating the 3rd birthday of Cut to You.
So happy to be part of this celebration by scrap lifting one of Gwen Wruck’s gorgeous layouts! Gwen is an amazing designer and I am in love with the beautiful cut files she designs! For this scrap lift, I chose the layout below by Gwen. I love the colors and the design she used.
For this scrap lift I used the beautiful cut files “Autumn leaf” and ” Choose Happy” I cut these cut files with my electric cutting machine. and
I grab a white sheet of cardstock. I start by mixing distress oxide with water and stamp serval prints on my white cardstock. I used a random background stamp that already looks like a stain. When I’am done stamping I splatter with the same color (Victorian Velvet) on the stamped background.
I backed the “Autumn leaf” cute file with design paper. I used the beautiful “Dream” collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I placed the cut file on top of the mixed media background.
I cut design paper to size and put it behind the photo. I placed the photo on top of the cute file “Autumn leaf”. I’m looking for the right wordstrips, labels, buttons and die-cuts for decoration. For the title, I used the “Choose Happy” cut file. I colored it with distress oxide “Victorian Velvet”. I stitched the letters to the layout with gold sewing thread.
Finally, I splashed with white acrylic paint and black acrylic ink for a festive look. I really love how this layout turned out! Thanks so much Gwen for this beautiful inspiration. I want to thank you for visiting the cut to you blog today and hope I was able to inspire you with this scrapbook lift.

So happy to see you on the Cut to You blog today! It’s Josefine here sharing you a new scrapbook layout that I made with these beautiful cutfiles! For this layout I used the gorgeous cutfile Floral Bouquet Set. I just can’t get enough of these beautiful flower cutfiles from Cut to You!!
I started my page with a white cardstock sheet. I cut some beautiful design paper from the gorgeous Vicki Boutin collection “Color Study” to size and placed the design paper strokes in the center of this page.
I backed the Floral Bouquet Set flowers with green design paper and the smaller one with vellum. I placed the flowers both in the center of my scrapbook page!
I fussy cut some flowers and cut some design papers to size and placed the papers behind the photo. I decorated my page with the flowers.
I’m looking for the right word strips, Some die-cuts and stickers for a little bit more decoration. I used the “Oh yeah “ puffy sticker as my tittle for this scrapbook layout and I decorated my tittle with some extra puffy hearts. I made some black and white splitters on my page. For the black splatters I used some black acrylic ink and for the white splatters I used white gesso. I loved the paint spletter look on my layouts!
Now it’s time to cut the white cardstock to size and put it on top of a 12×12 design paper. I used my sewing machine to stitched the edges of my page. I love how my page turned out! I want to thank you for visiting the Cut to You blog today and hope I was able to inspire you with this scrapbook layout! Wishing you a beautiful and creative day today! XoXo, Jo
Thank you so much for stopping by at the Cut to You blog! It’s Josefine here sharing a new scrapbook layout with you. My challenge for today’s layout was to “use a black cutfile” so I chose a safe one to cut out, and I have used it as my title. The file is called “Crazy love Circle”
I grabbed white cardstock as my base because it looks so good with against my black “Crazy love” title. I then cut a design paper to 6 inches, and this will be the bottom half of my page. I then used my sewing machine to sew stitches around my page.
I stamped the center of my page with yellow shimmer paints (Inklingz) using my clear background stamp for that. It’s a mixed media technique that I use a lot in my work. See also my videos on Youtube. I love this simple and convenient technique to create a beautiful background. I decided to cut the photo in the shape of a circle to fit inside my title, and I also cut a circle out of the design paper that I wanted to use behind the photo. I used a circle cutter to do this.
With my sewing machine I sewed around the edges of the design paper circle and I placed it in the center of this page with the photo on top. Now I started with the title “Crazy Love Circle” that I have already cut with my Cricut Maker. I put everything in place and I started to glue the words one by one.
I fussy cut different flowers from the design paper and glue them around the photo. I made three paper roses and placed them under the photo with several die-cuts. I decorate the page with some hearts and my layout is finished! I had a lot of fun making this scrapbook layout! Hope you had a lot af fun reading my blog today! I want to thank you for stopping by today on the Cut to You blog and wish you a beautiful and creative day!
Hello Paperlovers, welcome to the Cut to You blog today! So happy to be here again…….It’s Josefine here showing you a new scrapbook layout using the great flower cut file Caite Floral Set. This cutfile is perfect for making awsome paper flowers and I used the beautiful title Outdoor Adventure.
We love the outdoors and I wanted to use this older funny picture of the kids for this spring layout. So First I started creating the paper flowers using my Cricut Maker. I cut out the flower set twice for one flower. The first time with the pattern in the flower and the second time without the pattern in the flower (see photo) I do this in 3 different cardstock colors. Then I ruffled the edges of the flowers with the distress edges tool from Ranger. I curl up the leaves using the end of a brush and then I glue the flowers together and so I create the paper flower. For the center of the flower I place a flower cut out in white.
Then I cut the design paper to size and place it behind the photo. Now it’s time to decorate my scrapbook page. I place a cardboard embroidery hoop on my light purple cardstock background. Then place the paper flowers around it. I place my photo and begin to slide the die-cuts between the flowers and the photo. I cut out the branches in the same color of the flowers and place them it between.
I use the “Outdoor Adventure” cutfile as part of the title and cut this out in a smaller size and backed it with pink cardstock. I decorate the title with die-cuts and a word strip. Then I write a small journal under the title of my scrapbook layout.
I mix some gesso and water together and with my brush I make white splatters. I use a colored string at the top of my cardstock embroidery hoop. I make some stitches with the sewing machine under my journaling and on the side of the layout.
Finally, I place a design paper behind my cardstock. I had a lot of fun making these paper flowers. They are so easy to make too! I hope you guys also will give it a try! Can’t wait to see all those beautiful flowers! Wish you all a lovely and creative day. XoXo, Josefine
Hello Paperlovers, Welcome to the Cut To You blog today! It’s Josefine here showing you a new mixed media layout using the beautiful 2021 Cut File and the Spring Floral Banner. Yes, I used two Cut File on this scrapbook page!!
First I started with the background. I applied Distress Oxide with a acrylic stamp that looks like a stain and the ink color that I used is “Evergreen bough” With a brush I applied a little bit water to the ink on the stamp for a more watercolor effect on my layout.
When the Distress Oxide on my background is dry it’s time to started with the cutfiles. First I placed my “Spring Floral Banner” on my background and under the floral of the cutfile I placed some Flower die-cuts (see photo) from the beautiful “Daydream” collection from Cocoa Vanilla. This way I make layers with my die-cuts and cutfile.
I made four banners from the design papers of the “dayDream” collection, cut on size and stitched them with silver thread. I placed the banners on my layout with the photo on top. I also put some die-cuts and paper flowers on my page.
Now it’s time for the second cutfile. I used the 2021 cutfile as part of my title. I backed it with acetate decorated with silver dots. I edited the bottom of the 2021 title with silver glitter. After that I stitched it on my layout with silver thread and decorated with a word strip “The good life” and a paper flower. Finally I make white splashes with gesso for an extra festive look!
I hope I was able to inspire you with my layout! I wish everyone a beautiful day and enjoy creating! XoXo, Josefine
