Hello and Happy Spring, Friends! I am happy to share my new layout with you! I used the Happy Easter Title cut file and the adorable Bunny Silhouette to create this page of my Grandloves at an Easter party, several years ago.
These cut files made putting this layout together rather quick and simply! I always love to use cut-files when I need inspiration and ideas. They take most of the guess work out of page design, which can be really helpful when you are feeling “stuck”.
I cut the files on patterned paper and then used gesso over the top of the cut files because the pattern was too bold. The gesso served two purposes. It strengthened the cut file and it toned down the pattern. I then used some coordinating patterned papers to back the cutfiles. I popped the bunny and the title up on some foam adhesive and nestled the photo cluster beneath them.
The background paper I chose had a floral design already printed on it. So, I arranged my title, bunny and photo cluster in the center and chose other elements that would work with the design of the paper. I added some fussy cut butterflies, a banner, and a few florals for some added interest. I also added three tiny flowers to the bunnies bow.
This was such a fun layout to create! I hope you gain a little inspiration! Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful, scrappy day! ❤
Hello Friends! I am delighted to share a new layout of my grand-twins 1st birthday party and first experience with cake! (Spoiler Alert: They LOVED it!) I chose to use the Happy Day cut-file to document this momentous occasion!
You may notice I used lots of shiny, metallic silver on this layout! I was inspired by a new product (Silver Foil Adhesive sheets) at Spiegelmom Scraps. You can watch my process video to see how I used that product on this layout.
I have backed each of the letters in the cut file with various patterned papers, and popped them up on double sided foam. I also created shaker pockets inside the balloons, which worked out so great!

Hello creative friends! I am excited to share my newest layout using the Sweetheart Background Cut File! I was given the theme “Love” to inspire this Design Team project so I chose this cut file from the Cut to You shop.
This cut file paired perfectly with the photo of my beautiful daughters. I used this mixed media-style background paper from the CVS Daydream Collection along with some Heidi Swapp mist under the cut-file, to create an interesting base for my photos and embellishments.
I added some sparkle and shine with sequins, mirrored acrylic pieces and nests of gold thread, tucked between layers and layers of lovely florals, hearts, and rainbows.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my latest creation with another fabulous Cut to You cut file! Seriously, the cut files from the shop do most of the work for you! All you have to do is add some photos and a couple of embellishments and voila’ , you have a gorgeous layout!

Hello scrappy peeps! I have a fun layout of my grandson, Cason. I used the new Shooting Stars cut file from the shop, This element (the cut file) made my page come together so easily. It also gave me the inspiration for my title! I just love when one element sparks an idea for another element on the page! I cut the file in textured-white cardstock and adhered it directly to the patterned background. I then adhered stars of various colors, textures and sizes around the page for a very dynamic look.

Happy New Year Friends! I am so excited to share my first project for 2021! I chose the “Everyday is an Adventure” cut file from the shop, as my title piece for a layout of my precious grandlove, Emery.
I am documenting her first day back to “physical” school, as opposed to “virtual” school in 2020. I thought the title was appropriate because, we never really know whats going to happen from day to day, lately. For instance, it was only a few weeks into the school year that she had to go back to virtual learning.
I used products from several different Maggie Holmes, Crate Paper collections to embellish my page and back my cut-file. I love to use 6X6 Paper Pads for backing cut-files because the scale of the patterns is smaller and works great for smaller areas, (i.e, within a letter)

Hello Friends! I am so excited to share a new layout with you today! I had pictures of my son and his sweet girlfriend that I really wanted to scrap. They are so cute together! I wanted to use a “Love” themed cutfile for this layout. I found the Loops of Love cut file in the shop and knew it was the one!
The photo was taken outdoors in a wooded area and Ariel was wearing a teal colored tank top. I loved the natural, organic feel of this photo and wanted to play off that in my layout. So, I chose papers from Heidi Swapp’s Art Walk collection and a dark wood grain paper. I also incorporated wood veneer pieces for my title and embellishments for a rustic, outdoors touch.
I used the offset feature in Silouhette Studio to create a solid base for the loops of love “outline” and layered one upon the other. I wanted the cut file to be more “defined” and really pop off the page because the aqua/teal tones in the cut file and background were very similiar. Therefore, I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added dimensional foam tape to the backside and adhered to the background.
Lastly, I added “confetti” type (enamel dots, wood veener hearts, small word stickers) embellishments around the page in similar tones to add a bit more interest and texture. That completes the page! I had so much fun working with this cut file and just love how this layout turned out! ❤ If you would like to see the layout come together, step-by-step, you can watch the process video linked below.
