25 Days of Christmas | Fast, Fun and Festive Scrapbook Ideas | Day 7

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Christmas Joy cut file.

I was so happy to work with this cut file, I literally had the perfect photo to use! I backed the large Joy words with some pretty pattern papers. I only did the larger words to keep it cleaner.

I then added some embellishments in the empty spaces and around the cut file.

I finished by matting my photo and adding a few word strips.

Beautiful | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Triangle Stacked Background file and the Indigo & Ivy collection from Pink Paislee.

There’s just something I really like about geometric shapes on a layout. I’m not quite sure what it is but they seem so easy to create with! I backed the triangles with pattern paper and ran a row of stitching on them. I used the same paper for each row so it didn’t become too busy.

I kept the embellishments simple on this layout because I didn’t want to hide too much of that beautiful background. My photo, title and a few pieces of ephemera and chipboard was all it needed!.

XOXOXO | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the TN XOXOXO cut file and the Keeping It Real collection from Pinkfresh Studio.

Traveler’s notebook files can be used on any kind of project! They are great to create backgrounds for your 12×12 pages. I cut out the file on a colorful paper and added some stitching in the X’s.

I then added my photo, a title, and some matching embellishments throughout. The stitching took a while but otherwise this was a pretty quick layout!

Colorful | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Sew Happy cut file and the Cute & Crafty collection from Doodlebug.

This sewing machine cut file has to be the cutest cut file ever! I mean look at the little flowers on top! Soooo sweet! I backed the flowers in bright colors and added embellishments to the middle.

I knew I wanted the sewing machine teal because that’s the color of the one I have in my craftroom!

I added lots of messy stitching to create the background and then I added my cut file over it. Although not my usual style, it made for a fun layout to make!

Happy Halloween | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Happy Halloween cut file and the Spooky collection from Pebbles.

I was so excited about this release, I didn’t want to wait until October to scrap Halloween photos! I cut the file in black so it would pop out more on my orange background.

I backed the title with one piece of cardstock so it would be too busy. Look at my son’s little face. Trying to act tough but he was scared! lol

I then stitched the spider web using silver thread. I really like the shine it created!

Sweater Weather | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Wreath of Leaves cut file and the Cozy Days collection from Simple Stories.

I know it’s still summer here but fall layouts are always my favorite. When I saw this cut file I knew I had to use it with some fall photos!

I used 4 different pattern papers to back up the leaves and then I stitched the vines using green thread.

I love how a white cut file looks on a dark background. It really pop from the page! I added a title and a few embellishment clusters besides my photos and my layout was done!

Happy Heart | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Happy Heart cut file and the Color Study collection from Vicki Boutin.

I really love how these title cut files make layouts so easy. By using big title it fills your background so then you only have to add your photos and embellishments.

I backed the words from this file from one piece or cardstock. I like how it makes it feel connected. I then used different colors for the hearts.

I only added a few embellishments and a subtitle to finish it off. Oh an of course I added stitching too!

Sweet Smile

Hey everyone, Michelle here today sharing a new layout using a Kit To You file and the Bloom Street collection from Pink Paislee/Paige Evans. This fun geometric design is perfect for boy layouts, but somehow I ended up doing a very girly layout!

I used the negative pieces of the cut file to create a background for my layout. After I added all the pieces, I stitched the layout with my sewing machine. It created a real fun effect.

With a beautiful background like this there’s no need for a lot of embellishment. Just a few simple pieces and I was done!

Sunny & Bright | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share with a Kit To You cut file. When I cut out this file, I had planned on doing a boy layout but it was so pretty with these papers my whole planned changed within minutes!

This was such a simple way to use a cut file. I just used the pattern paper as is and glued it to the back. I usually would have cut out every piece with different papers but I really like how the striped paper looked.

This cut file is very versatile. It could be used for any type of layout. I’m going to use it again for a Christmas layout!

This was a quick and easy way to use a cut file. I then just needed to add some embellishments!

Live In Wonder

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using a Kit To You file and the February Hip Kit. This cut file is so gorgeous I may have to use it over and over!

I backed all the flowers of this cut file with the same multi colored paper. I love how even though the pattern repeats itself, it all looks different just because of the colors.

I then used a green paper to back up the leaves, because leave have to be green right?

I love how using a cut file can make such an elegant background!
