Our Beautiful Family|Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! I’m so happy to be back today, sharing a layout using the All Around Floral Background Cut File.

This cut file is an older one from the shop but its sooo great to play with! I cut the file with white cardstock so I could custom color it to perfectly coordinate with the Daydream Collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Coloring a cut file is a fabulous way to make the file your own and create a layout to fit your style or to match your photo perfectly!

These lovely word die cuts from the collection made the absolutely perfect title for my page. You can see all the details in my process video over on my channel! And don’t forget to take a peek at the SHOP and grab an amazing cut file for your next project!

Hello Everyone! Sara here with you today, with my first Cut To You layout of 2021! I hope you love this tropical, fun layout as much as me.

I’ve used the Hibiscus cut file from the shop. I cut it 4 times to create layered embellishments for my layout.

I created a mixed media background for my page and paired the cut file with lots of fun, tropical embellishments.

Sisters, Besties For Life | Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today with a fun, bright layout to celebrate sisters!

I used two amazing cut files the shop, Loops Of Love and Besties for Life Title Cut File

I backed both cut files with some gorgeous patterns from Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s Happiness collection.

I kept the embellishments simple so that I didnt take away from the cut files and photo…really let those cut files and the photo shine!

This layout was fun and easy to put together! I let the cut files do most of the work! You can see all the details on my process video –

Music Soothes The Soul|Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today sharing a layout featuring the Guitar cut file and the amazing Legendary collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

This cut file is so perfect for my boys! Both of them play guitar and I have loads of guitar photos to scrap so I was excited to pull some out and scrap them.

For some added texture and interest, I hand stitched the “strings” on the guitar and backed it with some woodgrain paper for warmth and an orange strap to compliment the photo.

I stamped two borders using a stamp set across the top, one of which acts as the title of my page. I loved these ticket die cuts that came in the collection so I layered them up along with some stars for embellishment.

Some of the stars I popped up with foam adhesive for some extra dimension and then just a few phrase stickers to finish up this page.

If you have some guitarists in your life, this cut file is a must buy for sure. And while your there, be sure to check out all the amazing music files in the SHOP.

Here is my process video for this one for you to enjoy.

Love My Create Dates|Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today sharing a layout documenting how we craft together this year…virtually and through Zoom! I used the Love My Create Dates Title Cut File.

I cut the cut file from smooth white cardstock and decided I wanted to add some color to the file. I used some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide to give the file an ombre look that coordinates with the Cocoa Vanilla Daydream collection.

I chose to back just the open letters in the cut file and “fill” the hearts with some other fun bits and bobs.

The largest heart I filled with sequins. I varied the colors and sizes of the sequins to add interest and texture to my layout. And speaking of texture…

How adorable are these corduroy hearts ??? They are like little puffy pillows of goodness!

They snuggled right over the hearts in the cut file and added the perfect finishing touch!

Title backgrounds are a great addition to your cut file collection. They can be altered and embellished to fit a variety of layout topics! Be sure to head over to the shop HERE and grab a few for your next project.

And here is my process video showing all the details!

Love Your Llama Selfie|Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today playing with one of this month’s new cut files, Love Your Selfie. This cut file is so fun, I especially love the cute Instax- like camera. I knew it would look fabulous backed with some fun patterns.

I paired the cut file with papers and embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla Studio’s new line, Daydream. I just got this collection and Im already hooked…these colors are swoon-worthy. I havent gotten any new lines in a while so I dug right in and went to work..well, play (creating this layout was anything but work!)

I paired the cut file with flowers, lots of flowers. Fussy cut flowers from the collection paired with die cuts. I added this cute little corduroy heart to the camers lens. The heart and the floral element really added whimsy to the camera.

My photograph is a selfie…with a llama. I have a confession, I love llamas. I wanted to add one to my page, but in a subtle way. So I added a “hidden llama” to one of my floral clusters. He is sooo cute, right??

I added a llama to my title using some Thickers and I added some more hearts to the middle of the letter O’s to create a visual triangle around my page. And if you look closely…you’ll find a little “hidden cactus” too.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this layout. Using new products and brand new cut files was fun, and creative! Be sure to head over to the shop HERE and take a look at ALL the new cut files this month. You will not be disappointed!…promise!

Shine|Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing well as September rolls in. I have a layout to share today featuring the Rock Star cut file.

I started my layout by stenciling a star background to match my color scheme. I used two shades of blue Distress Oxide inks to create a blended ink background.

I backed the cut file with lots of papers in shades of aqua, navy, blue, black and white. I used scraps but I also used a few patterned pocket page cards. Pocket Cards make a great alternative to patterned papers and this is a great tip for using up quite a few from your stash.

I chose this particular card to back this star to act as my title. I love how it brings the title right into the design of the page.

I kept the embellishments neutral in color and simple- just a few cameras, phrase stickers, and labels.

As a last finishing touch I added a sprinkling of sequins around the border of the page. I think this adds a fun sparkle.

Be sure to take a peek at my process video above and then be sure to head over to the shop HERE and grab a cut file..or two. You will not be disappointed!

Oh So Happy|Sara Scraps

Hello Everyone! Sara with you today to share a new layout featuring the new August releases from the Cut To You Shop!

I started my layout by creating an easy watercolor background to give it the look of a blue sky.

I started my layout by backing my cut files. I chose to work with two of the new releases- Oh So Happy and Orchid Bloom .

I embellished my layout with just few little touches. You don’t need a lot of embellishment when you are using multiple cut files- just a couple of small touches. I chose small die cuts, wood veneer, and some little clear bubbles to enhance my photo.

I added some inking to the bottom of the Orchid Blooms cut file. It gives the cut file a bit of extra dimension and POP! I just love how this whole layout came out. Fun, bright, and sweet! Perfection! You can check out all the fun details in my process video below and dont forget to swing by the shop HERE to get some new cut files for your August crafting adventures!

Cousin Squad/Sara Scraps

Hello! Sara here with you today. I have a fun layout to share with you featuring the Cousin Squad cut file. I have been waiting to use this one for a while now! I am the oldest of 7 siblings so I have lots of cousin pages to do! This photo is special to me because it is the last time ALL my neices and nephews were together for a group picture.

I started with the title piece. I backed each letter with patterned paper. Then I used about 1001 foam squares to pop the title up.

I added florals onto the title to make it truly part of the layout. This allows the flowers to weave in and around both the photos and title seamlessly.

This layout is simple in design and execution but it packs a powerful, colorful punch! I love how all the colors pop off of the white cardstock! You can see all the details of this layout on my YouTube channel too! Id love to see you give this layout design a try.

White cardstock, an amazing title from the shop HERE, and and lots of pretty flowers are really all you need!

Have A Lovely Day!
