Colorful | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Sew Happy cut file and the Cute & Crafty collection from Doodlebug.

This sewing machine cut file has to be the cutest cut file ever! I mean look at the little flowers on top! Soooo sweet! I backed the flowers in bright colors and added embellishments to the middle.

I knew I wanted the sewing machine teal because that’s the color of the one I have in my craftroom!

I added lots of messy stitching to create the background and then I added my cut file over it. Although not my usual style, it made for a fun layout to make!

Make Your Move | Shannon Allor

Hello friends! It’s Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this fun layout featuring the ever so cool “Make Your Move” cutfile. I decided to use this cutfile for a putt putt adventure so I chose to save the chess pieces for another day.

You can see here that I added some heavy stitching around my background as well as used a contrasting patterned paper from the Simple Stories “Safe Travels” collection. I love how the pieces nestled right into the cutfile. There are so many fab new cutfiles in the Cut To You shop!

Happy Scrapping, Shannon

This is the good life | Tamara Buckler

Hello wonderful CTY peeps!

I’m up on the blog today sharing a fun summery page using the Daffodil Posie cut file from the Cut to You shop.

I have kept things pretty simple with the Cut File on this layout, and have just backed each section with patterned papers. I have used a yellow for the large daffodils, which totally makes them pop, and pink for the remaining flowers.

Once I had backed the whole file, I then popped the it all up on foam tape, which has allowed me to tuck my photo in underneath.

I have layered up some embellishments on top of the florals to create my title and really emphasise the focal point created by the Cut File.

I love the fun summery vibes I was able to create with this page, but the Daffodil Posie file is so versatile you could you it for any occasion.

I hope you find time to create this week!

Big loves, Tam xo

Happy Halloween | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Happy Halloween cut file and the Spooky collection from Pebbles.

I was so excited about this release, I didn’t want to wait until October to scrap Halloween photos! I cut the file in black so it would pop out more on my orange background.

I backed the title with one piece of cardstock so it would be too busy. Look at my son’s little face. Trying to act tough but he was scared! lol

I then stitched the spider web using silver thread. I really like the shine it created!

Good Time Summer Fine | Shannon Allor

Hello friends! It’s Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this summery layout featuring the fab “Good Time Summer Fine” layout and the Simple Stories “Pool Party” collection. I have four small photos on this project where you see my sun playing around with a ball lakeside.

I just had to make that big sun into a shaker pocket! I then used four different patterned papers for the large title. Don’t you just love how a cutfile can help you create a layout ever so quickly?!

CUT to YOU | Love Grows Here | Melinda Sweetman

Hello my scrappy friends and welcome to the CUT to YOU blog today! Melinda here with my next project for CUT to YOU and I have something a little “softer” and somewhat “prettier” than my norm! I hope you enjoy!

I have used the beautiful “Love Grows Here” title cut file which was cut in white textured cardstock.

I have made a slight adjustment to the cut file – I cut off the stems of the daffodils that go into the “o” in the word “grows” for a simpler look. I have used a few pattern papers to very simply back my cut file and then I popped the whole thing up to help it pop off the background.

I have chosen 2 3″x4″ photos from Mum’s Day this year; one with me with each of my boys at the end of the day. The photo cluster tucked beautifully into the cut file, sitting on top of the words and to the right of the flower heads.

I really LOVE how this page came together, all the pretty, soft colours and patterns, something different to my “norm” and yet still me. You can watch this page come together on my process video, just hit the play button below!

I hope that you have enjoyed this share and that perhaps I have inspired you to step a little out of your own “normal” style. Maybe you can find something in the new releases for this month? Or perhaps there is another cut file that you have that you haven’t been sure just how to use.

Happy scrapping and I’ll see you soon my next share for CUT to YOU!

CUT to YOU | “Hey Bestie” | Melinda Sweetman

Hey and hello CUT to YOU friends!!! Melinda back again today and no, you are not going crazy!!
I do indeed have another layout share using the same cut file which also happens to be my page title!!

Again, I’m using the “Hey Bestie” cut file from the store.

If you don’t remember my last page here it is again and I’m using the “left overs” to create this page!

The insides of my letters were too beautiful to ditch so I immediately cut the title once again using textured white cardstock and used some foam tape to pop up all of the pretty letters.

I wanted this page to look and feel different to my last one so straight away decided I was going to use some different supplies; but still Heidi Swapp goodies. This time from the Storyline Chapters collection. And to not use any mixed media!!

I’ve pulled out another of my newly printed photos with one of my other besties and started layering up the photo, cut file and patterned papers.

For some extra detail and texture I have stitched around my photo and my 3 biggest patterned paper layers, bending up the edges of all the papers.

I ended up with a more vertical design on this page and decided to a) use a tag behind my photo to house my journaling and b) work with 3 main embellishments clusters that follow that vertical line down the page.

I cannot express just how much I ADORE that yellow patterned paper in my background so I made sure to bring that to the foreground of my layout also.

My finishing touch was some little black gems that I scattered on a loose diagonal (but almost vertical) from the top left cluster to the bottom right and added in some white glitter enamel hearts.

As always, I have a process video for you, just hit that play button below and I do hope that you enjoy!!

Here is a quick look at my layouts side by side!

If you didn’t know I’d used the same cut file you’d never know!! I just love that about digital cut files!!

When you are shopping take a look and think “how can I use this cut file multiple times/ways” before you purchase.
The best thing is, even if can’t come up with anything right now you can cut and use the file as many times as you like after you own it!!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my share today.
Did you notice that this isn’t the only cut file I’ve used more than once???
I hope you have a fab, scrappy day and I’ll see you back here on the blog later this month!

Crazy beautiful dream | Tamara Buckler

Hello my lovely scrappy friends,

How are you all going out there in this crazy world!?! It’s times like these I’m so grateful for our wonderful craft! It’s often when I’m a little stressed I get a little messy in that space, and that what I’ve got to share with you this month, beautiful mess!!

The super cool Sunburst Heart file really got my creative juices flowing. As soon as I saw this file I new I wanted to an exploding rainbow of colour from each section of the heart.

I treated the file pretty simply by cutting it from white card stock. I then used this as a bit of a template designate the areas of my page I needed to add colour.

I selected my colours to match the papers in the Bloom St collection, and then filled in the sections on my background with matching watercolours.

I laid my photo and embellishments on top of the cut file, trying loosely to colour block my embellishments.

I’m really happy with how this one came together. I challenge you all to have a go at creating your own Sunburst Heart layout, I’d love to see how many beautiful interpretations of this file you can come up with. Share over in Cut to You HQ when you do!

For more Sunburst Heart inspo check out the one Shannon created here and the from Josefine here! Inspo everywhere!

Until next time, big loves!

Happy Heart | Michelle Gallant

Hey everyone, Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the Happy Heart cut file and the Color Study collection from Vicki Boutin.

I really love how these title cut files make layouts so easy. By using big title it fills your background so then you only have to add your photos and embellishments.

I backed the words from this file from one piece or cardstock. I like how it makes it feel connected. I then used different colors for the hearts.

I only added a few embellishments and a subtitle to finish it off. Oh an of course I added stitching too!

Darn It | Sunburst Heart Cutfile | Shannon Allor

Hello friends! It’s Shannon up on the blog today bringing you this ever so sad puppy layout featuring the beautiful Sunburst Heart cutfile. I thought that the Pinkfresh “Keeping It Real” collection was the perfect vibe for this tricky day for Blue.

I just had to do some hand sewing on this cutfile! I used a pale pink for the center of the heart and a nice aqua to back stitch around the entire cutfile. I love how it came together. I thought that the layout needed a bit more punch so I backed the bright yellow patterned paper with a gorgeous floral.

I layered embellishments by the same collection, grabbed some very old alphas and included some flair to bring it all together. I do love this one!

Happy Scrapping!
