STORYBOOK ADVENTURES | KELLY PYRON

Hello friends! I am sharing a layout today featuring the Book Stack Background cut file. Being the book-nerd that I am, I knew as soon as I saw this cut-file, I had to use it! I also knew the perfect photo for this layout. #winning #booksaremyjam

I cut the file on American Crafts white textured cardstock and then used several different pattern papers to back the file. Lastly, I used the offset feature in Silouhette to cut a slightly larger version of the Book Stack file in black cardstock and adhered it to give a black border. I felt like I needed to do this in order to create some contrast. Otherwise, I felt like the cut file got lost on this busy background.

I used lots of whimsical and fun elements around the page to enhance the photo and help tell my story of creating a storybook character from a pumpkin.

I just love how the die cut helped make this layout come together so quickly and easily. Using the large die cut, helped make most of my design decisions for me. It was just a matter of glue things down.

I hope you are enjoying this month long celebration and finding lots of inspiration along the way! If you would like to see how my layout came together, you can watch my process video here:

LET’S PARTY | UNICORN LOVE | RACHEL LOWE

Hey craft friends, Rachel here! Today I have a fun layout created using two cut files, Let’s Party and Unicorn cut files.

And here is what I created! I have used Echo Park Teen Spirit Girl collection.Untitled-47Firstly I cut the Let’s party title in white, I resized it so it would fit my page design. I used the ‘release compound’ function of my Silhouette Cameo which allowed me to seperate my letters and cut them individually. I used foam tape to adhere as I wanted to create a 3D effect.F75EAB72-C469-4808-AE38-48D37273096AI then embellished around and on my title so your eye is drawn here, again I have used foam tape on my embellishments to create a 3D effect. Don’t be afraid to used embellishments on your cut files, here I added the rainbow and it adds more of a wow look!7648FBA0-ACF9-431E-A8AA-B809598FEDA6I added my 6×4 inch photo portrait under the Let’s Party cut file, in the centre and again I added with foam tape. I did not mat my photo, instead adding some cute emoji stickers under the photo. As I have two feature embellishment clusters I didn’t mat my photo as I didn’t want my layout to look ‘too busy’.B9AD3746-996F-40EB-BBF9-5DA0E5213D50Now what is better than one super cute unicorn, two right! I used the Mirror function on my Silhouette Cameo which essentially allows you to flip cut file images, which allowed my unicorns to be facing each other.AE33444C-BC92-4B6E-9711-C5475AC2B90CI again using the release compound function so I could cut the different parts of my unicorn in different papers. I added a little gold to finish her off.68B3C278-894E-4224-A0DF-45243D884E71I added them with foam tape under my photo finished off with a sentiment sticker….. You are Magical!E89CD7A4-8420-4676-9889-7D4E02D1968DAnd there you have it one super cute birthday layout!
